So I'm doing a Nuzlocke in Moon version, as of last night. So far my team is Sonata the Popplio and Piper the Yugoos, since different sections of the same route are considered the same location for catching that is gonna limit my party a bit. But I can do this.

 

@tickingnectarine remember, you can catch pokemon in the cities, too.

 

my first shiny i caught myself was a fucking wingull in a horde encounter in alpha sapphire ;-;

(and does anyone else automatically think oh i don't need to catch that, i have it in [XY/ORAS] and then remember no trading between them and no pokemon bank until january because Boy Do I Do That)

 

@cassikat wingull is one of my faves I would have killed for that ;^;

fun fact I have been playing Pokemon since the very first game and I have never actually encountered a shiny before

So back to Pokemon GO for a moment: it appears the Eevee naming trick is no longer a thing, because my latest Rainer just evolved into a Jolteon.

...at least it's now my strongest Jolteon but still, my boy WeGetItUVape needs a successor and I was counting on this :/

 

@BunjyWunjy alrighty, let me know when you get it or as soon as pokebank is compatible with ORAS i'll toss her (i just checked and apparently she is a girl, whoops lol) into moon and let you know!

Also-- does anyone know if you can put event pokemon (the ones in cherish balls) into and out of pokebank? i'd like to move most of the event pokes from this year into sunmoon but i'm not sure if i can, and a cursory google didn't help

 

@cassikat you can! I have a ton of events from old games and theyre all chilling in the bank right now. However once bank is compatible with sun/moon if you move anything to the new games you wont be able to move it back to the old ones
