I'm also catching the tapus but that's mostly bc I want their pokedex entries. Not sure if I'm gonna release them or not bc I have a hard time releasing Pokémon but I'm thinking about it. In the end even if I don't I imagine the champion bonds with them but ultimately releases them. Like. They're the island guardians. I like the idea mentioned of just becoming friends with them and not having them sit in my PC box.

I also headcanon that Lillie and MC could both be parents to Nebby so when she comes back nebby spends time with both of them since they spend a lot of time together. idk I just get so many friend-family feels from this. (They could also be datefriends tho. Potentially/w Hau if he wants bc adorable)

 

I only just noticed this... the nidoran male line has a shiny colouration that is more or less the same as nidoqueen's regular colour, and nidoran female and nidorina are coloured like nidoking... but then nidoqueen looks like this:

In different, though related-to-troll-freak news, the Dratini genocide has begun. The snakes will hand over their shinies and marvel scale users or the murders will continue. I am now 6 hours in and refuse to stop until I either run out of sitrus berries (I've used about half of my original total) or Pink Snake is mine. So far though, it's shed skin all the way down. Fuck these guys.

 

my final team ended up being:

Electron the Vikavolt
Twine the Toucannon
Physis the 10% Zygarde
Kulikuli the Kommo-o
and of course Nebby (Solgaleo bc Sun)

i used a bunch of other pokemon too, but this ended up being my final team. i challenged myself to stick only to Alola pokemon and i'm glad i did! there was also a Ninetails, Lycanroc, and Salazzle fighting for a spot but they ended up not making the cut ;-;

and yeah, i tend to have a lot of differences between my own story headcanons for the characters, and what i actually do in-game. in-game i am 100% in CATCH EM ALL mode but i'm coming up with a story as i go along.
i know my MC wouldn't catch the Tapus, lol. more behind here:

i think my MC would keep Nebby around bc he feels like it's dad and Lillie even asked to show Nebby thrilling battles n stuff. He's Gotta, his best friend asked him. he also has hardcore crushes on Ilima and Sophocles...still don't know what i wanna do with them tho lol. i want to go through all the postgame stuff before i decide everything though, i heard there was some more story stuff with the Ultra Beast hunts so???

i also ship Hau<>Gladion like a burning. it's so good ;-;

 

idk how some of you can see endgame pokemon and put it on your team, i'd go mad!

if i was able to get the team i actually wanted, i probably would have stuck w/ leo ( decidueye ) and orpheus ( toxapex )
otherwise, i would have swapped the rest w/ an absol, salazzle, bewear, and a sylveon.

i tend to always have a sylveon on my team though, thus why i didnt go for it this gen despite it being an actual option. :V the rest didn't happen bc of level fuckery and also availability in the game. what could have been!!

@ironicBonds I'm really sorry I didn't get to you sooner about this, but I had already reset my game by the time you asked. I did pop a rowlet over to @baskerville before I did (so breeding possibly?), and people are always willing to trade starters for starters on GTS "seeking" (rather than wonder trade). They made seeking much easier since not only you can define the pokemon you want, but also limit it to the pokemon a person wants is a pokemon you have on hand. Even further, you can look for pokemon outside of your country. It's how I got a german rowlet for my shiny hunt in the first place, the person wanted a jangmo-o and I tossed them a cheapsie lv1.

You could throw a pokemon into wonder and chances are someone will toss a starter back due to the game being out for longer at this point (I get mostly litten and rowlets, but all popplios I've gotten have been japanese iirc so there's always the masuda method to look forward to)

that being said I did reset with a female Popplio "Undine" leading my team. Solomon the Slowpoke joined and it's killing me to not use the dratini I got in wonder trade, but I plan on doing an "in character" run as my OC, so only pokemon he would use.

AND HEYA the first global mission just went live! catch 100 mil pokemon by December 13th. sounds like a doozy but i think with so many ppl playing itll be easy. you get 1000 FC out of it if u participate so totally worth, i need to dye clothes ;-;

 

But... but why. The shiny dragonite is one of the worst color schemes out there....

 

Mostly because I've been angered by these snakes and their inability to spawn a marvel scale version. If they'd been quicker to give one up I'd have been fine just going for regular, but man. FUCK shed skin. I wanted to breed for multiscale, god dammit. Now they have to die because of their mistakes.

 

and then there's shiny Zygarde, which just looks like toothpaste

Operation Dratini Genocide has ended in a suicide and several tears. I thought this dratini had more PP left than it did, so... not only did I lose my 9 hour chain, I also didn't get a hidden ability mon. The dratinis took their revenge, the assholes.

HOLY SHIT I GOT TAPU KOKO?!??!¿? And holier shit, that little bastard is tough to catch and I was terrified that he was going to run out of moves and Struggle himself to death and I would have to either lose him or reset and go through who even knows how much again because the last time I'd saved was before the Elite Four and I didn't remember if my shit autosaved at any point after that. And I guess I can get the other guardians?

Whatever happened to those Ultra Beasts Lusamine dumped all over the place, anyway? Maybe they'll show up and I can beat them up and stuff them in balls now?

oo, and there's still that whole big piece of Poni Island I haven't been to yet because I was not yet an champion.

 

so I traded for a ditto and a dratini tonight and I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier (I am sitting in a throne made out of dratini eggs right now. it's the best)

 

I hatched a decent nature on the second try and now I just have a pile of extra dratini eggs, I guess. WHO WANTS ONE
