[High up in the air an excited whoop is audible and a strange looking jet careens through the air. The small jet corkscrews- and then seemingly loses control and starts to do something that sounds and looks suspiciously like crashlanding.]

 

[Nichrome bites back a curse and gently but quickly sets Soundwave aside and jumps to her feet. She seems to have practice at this as she catches the jet in her arms.]

Only a few of us are known to the mortals. A few for us at any rate. It still numbers in the hundreds or thousands for the humans. They are a bit...behind. In regards to current names and titles. It is why Lei Gong remains Lei Gong despite the fact that he hasn't been Duke Thunders in quite some time. We call him Lei Da Wang or High King Thunder, but he retains the name Duke Thunders for the sake of the humans.

-Soundwave scrambles out of Caers lap and pads over to Onyx to brace him forepaws on a leg and look up- "Well I guess being big means you´re good at it. What´s your form called?"

 

[With an excited squeal the sparkling transforms back into rootmode- he is a little older than Soundwave apparently- and wriggles out of Nichrome's arms.]

A god like myself. He works in Office Breaths and is the right-hand man of Upulvan, as well as his body guard. There have been a few Dadimundas now. Every few centuries one dies or is promoted to fill the space of Upulvan. The same with Upulvan. There's always a new man to be Upulvan but he is always Upulvan, with his golden bow and name.

Oh, I've no doubt most of our names have been forgotten or twisted; even my own Eukaris barely recalls my siblings, let alone those who came before us. The stories remain, though; stories last a good long while.

My own species does not shift shape so much as it shifts one's perception of shape. My other form is as invisible to the touch as it is to the eye, but that does not mean it is not currently there even now.

I can shift other things, too. I'm told the world looks quite different when you're the one holding the gun, and I admit to having a bit of a part in this. The guided hand is much less resistant to pulling the trigger, especially when a voice as melodic as mine is whispering sweet nothings in your ear. It's quite unfortunate that the nature of this liminal space prevents me from performing such transformations.

That they do. They've a tendency to mix with others as well. The mortals have quite the unusual mesh of stories going on down there. Not even their histories are straight. Which I suppose makes sense. They're very short-lived and it's not as though we're above corruption and historical revisionism in Heaven. It's a trade secret but the current regime is only a few centuries old at best. Not that you'll hear the propaganda say that.

Corruption only happens when people are mean, so everyone should just be not mean and talk things out! Hmpf! Meanieheads shouldn't get elected to do stuff!!!
