wrote over a thousand words of finished, posted prose writing fills that i didn't immediately hate last night, shared the link to my compiled drive folder of all the books for the beloved special interest fandom i did the fills for (which has Many Installments that are difficult to round up), i'm talking meta with old friends from the fandom and kicking around fic ideas again, i kickstarted the tag back into activity, and i'm just. really proud and happy my writing is back and i missed this community so much
There's a new meme that JUST started yesterday on tumblr, and the great thing is that it's progress can clearly be tracked from the origin. Most memes bubble up from no where and don't become wide spread until they've separated from their origin (unless it's centered around a video or a website). But this weird new cat meme is in it's infancy, where people are just copying the original. I kind of want to study the thing and see how long it takes to become more surreal, then is used a response to other stuff until finally it melts into true parody of itself.
My mom found one of my favorite hoodies! It was upstairs in my parents' room for some reason. EDIT: I also found my iPod, which had been MIA for a few days. It was under some clothes atop my dresser. :P
the mandarin oranges matesprit got from the grocery store are extremely fresh and juicy, and keep reminding me of fresh-picked raspberries when I eat them. it's fantastic

Helped my boss sass a dude today. My boss: Pretty, fiery, but also an emotional doormat. Falls victim to negging dudebros quite frequently. Negging dudebro: friend of a friend, barely knows her, has sent her low content FB messages for at least a week, looked like more, mostly asking "smoke?", to which she has never responded once Me: zero chill for emotionally manipulative people Today: he complains that she's seen all his messages and not responded, and this makes her the rude one, because negging dudebro logic. A rough reconstruction of the conversation, which I got permission to write for her: ND: you've seen all my messages but haven't responded, that's so rude ME: lmao the fuck is wrong with you ND: you've seen all my messages but haven't responded, that's so rude. you're being really rude for not responding to my low effort advances. ME: take a fucking hint dude ND: ok I'm not going to defend you anymore when people talk shit about you (**MIND YOU MY BOSS DOES NOT EVEN KNOW THIS GUY PAST MEETING HIM LIKE ONCE) ME: k It was really incredible. The sense of entitlement from this guy was SO STRONG. He sends her one word messages with no response for over a week and decides she's being the rude one and immediately tries to make her feel bad about it. Nah dude, not today. B)
