[Mortilus and all the Hand he hopes the kid is just dreaming and didn't die in his sleep or something.] When you wake up you'll leave and you probably won't remember a whole lot about this place unless you're the kind of person who remembers their dreams in detail!

*on one hand, being free here is scary and confusing*

*but on the other, being free does mean he doesn't have to do anything he doesn't wanna and that's kinda nice, even though he doesn't know what to do with his freedom*

 

Just because you took the path of dreams to get here doesn't mean you have to follow it back.

If you can find a different way to get here than just dreaming you can get here and be free without ever having to go back! Like-- 'Ral here found a weird place in our home that let him just walk right over here so he'll probably remember what happened before he conked out and we don't teeeeechnically have to go back. We probably will eventually 'cos we have people we care about back home but we're not gonna get yanked out just 'cos our fr-- bodies? decided they were done resting.

 

You can follow your steps back. And when you return you are free again.

And if I'm dreaming and returning and all, it's not my physical body in here, is it? Just my soul?

Right now you're only dreaming. But if you find another way, another path, then you can come here awake. And then you can stay, and be alive. I took the Path in the Woods. So I'm both awake and mostly alive.
