And then there's the times you plain don't notice, and that's when you know you got a good bartender.

That depends on the definition of "enough" and other circumstances such as the status of your wallet. I probably should've used "skilled" instead.

(She knows Nichrome brews her own booze, but she is so not going to tip the little ones off to their mother's booze stash. At least not yet, but she figures they'll find out somewhen.)

 

Like 'Stasia over there said sometimes it's fun or a social thing sometimes you don't notice sometimes you actually wanna black out sometimes you're trying to prove something to yourself or to others... lots of reasons! :P And sometimes it just tastes that good if you have excellent taste in drinks like I do.

'Cos your caer's great at her job ;D Offship though some people are more concerned with making money off the sales than keeping their customers in one piece so they try to push as much as they can. 'Swhy you should always go with a local who knows which places're safe and which'll pour clockpolish into your tank in the name of squeezing out every last shanix ;D

Truth gotta have someone you know'll drag you back somewhere safe after! Didn't occur to me but then I've been mostly welded at the hip to my wingmates for the last four mil-odd years or so :P

It's those little insidious things. Little nibbles what look like umbrellas and coins and fancy stuff but pack more of a punch than they rightfully should and that metaphor just got away from me.

Also don't slam the fruity sodium-filled beauties those are my jam hideously high tolerance or not :P

See, that's what makes em so insidious. They're small and tasty and you think to yourself, how bad can it be, and when you wake up again you have three new numbers in your contact list, a stack of napkins with equations and one of the barstools has been replaced with one made of coasters because whatever you were building at the moment needed a metal pipe.

 

Sound really dangerous. Drinking must be lots of fun if people will do stuff that dangerous.

 

Only if you overdo it, as with... everything, really.

That being said, I got a meeting to be at in the waking world, so I'll scram for now.
