Yeah, it's kind of a double AUGH from the way they phrase the 'can't wait for X to inevitably happen' which grates on me, because it feels like trying to push the author in that particular direction, and the way it's so... mismatched with the things the author has actually put on the page. Like for context: Megatron, who is a self-centered entitled asshole with all the emotional sensitivity of a moldy potato, even he recently caught on that Jazz for-real loves Soundwave. So Megatron is keeping them apart and Soundwave and Jazz are both extremely distressed by this. And this person was still like 'HAHAAA, can't wait until Jazz turns the tables on Soundwave and TAKES HIS BRUTAL REVENGE!!'

That's little comment of 'how does it feel" at the end made me want to reply "doesn't feel like anything because I don't accept that headcanon." I'm all for people doing what they like, just don't try to force it on everyone.

I'd argue that the vehicons would be more shades of grey-y if they weren't war veterans. The show portrays as bad guys and treatstraight them as such because of their status as megs canon fodder and nothing else. Having the vehicons be battlehardened soldiers only makes them easier to villianize. However, the self-righteous tone of that post is a serious turn off, I expect that attitude out of grade schoolers, not people who are old enough to have tumble accounts (seriously reminded of Angelica from Rugrats).

I can understand not liking the TGWP dynamic, I had to stop reading because squickiness of the two mains relationship (no matter how justifiable and in character, Jazz had to capitulate too hard to soundwave for me to be comfortable with). BUT they should have seen that the outcome was completely impossible after jazz and soundwave's vacation on earth.

On the one hand, I expect nothing less from Michael Bay and his nonsense

On the other hand, I appreciate this because I know all of three songs from Hamilton and one of them has Lafayette singing this, so now I can imagine Rodimus doing it:

    Thanks Seebs Michael Bay!

like. there are circumstances, under which i can see Roddy doing a french accent, mostly to be ridiculous at people or because he is in fact ridiculous.

    but.

You know, I haven't heard this song or thought about it in years, but this French Rodimus talk makes me think of C'est Moi

    LANCELOT:
    Camelot! Camelot!
In far-off France I heard your call.
    Camelot! Camelot!
And here am I to give my all.
I know in my soul what you expect of me,
And all that and more I shall be.

A knight of the Table Round should be invincible,
Suceed where a less fantastic man would fail.
Climb a wall no one else can climb,
Cleave a dragon in record time,
Swim a moat in a coat of heavy iron mail.
No matter the pain, he ought to be unwinceable,
Impossible deeds should be his daily fare.
    But where in the world
    Is there in the world
    A man so *extraordinaire*?

C'est moi! C'est moi, I'm forced to admit.
    'Tis I, I humbly reply.
    That mortal who
    These marvels can do,
    C'est moi, c'est moi, 'tis I.
    I've never lost
    In battle or game;
I'm simply the best by far.
    When swords are crossed
    'Tis always the same:
    One blow and au revoir!
    C'est moi! C'est moi! So adm'rably fit!
    A French Prometheus unbound.
And here I stand, with valour untold,
    Exeption'ly brave, amazingly bold,
To serve at the Table Round!

The soul of a knight should be a thing remarkable,
His heart and his mind as pure as morning dew.
    With a will and a self-restraint
That's the envy of ev'ry saint
He could easily work a miracle or two.
To love and desire he ought to be unsparkable,
The ways of the flesh should offer no allure.
    But where in the world
    Is there in the world
A man so untouched and pure?
    (C'est moi!)

C'est moi! C'est moi, I blush to disclose.
I'm far too noble to lie.
    That man in whom
    These qualities bloom,
    C'est moi, c'est moi, 'tis I.
    I've never strayed
    From all I believe;
I'm blessed with an iron will.
    Had I been made
    The partner of Eve,
    We'd be in Eden still.
C'est moi! C'est moi! The angels have chose
    To fight their battles below,
And here I stand, as pure as a pray'r,
Incredibly clean, with virtue to spare,
    The godliest man I know!
    C'est moi!

it's more like a ridiculous rodimus/thunderclash fusion robot, BUT STILL

In this case he'd probably be a vain coward who's coded as not being straight and is pretentious? If they're going for offensive stereotypes...

...wait isn't that just starscream again? Or knock out...

Eta: Oh my god c'est moi REALLY IS a Rodimus song...
