I am 110% here for Vex and Haley going from mutual distrust to full on shopping and hair braiding bffsies. Someone call Matt and Rich and make this happen. The worst thing about Critical Role is that I want to watch more and catch up faster but then I run out of audio spoons :( It says a lot about how great it is that I've made it this far and am still going. (Nochi also watching helps too. She is the best guinea pig :p )
I am excited flailing right now because I just learned that Matt and Marisha are going to be at MAGfest aka the one con I actually got too
Spoiler: 32 "Vax?" "yeah?" "I have a sister." "It's pretty great." Damn it. Their attempts to improvise Serious Dramatic Fantasy Dialogue often fall flat or get played for humor, but then someone drops a perfect little jewel of understated heartbreak like this. (And then Grog ruins it by farting in his sleep.)
Spoiler tbh most of the time when they try for high fantasy it falls flat, but when they're just people who happen to be in a high fantasy setting is when it turns brilliant and I love it and them and everyone in this bar. Both from a fan standpoint (fanpoint) and a writer standpoint. (at some point I will gush about my found-family feels)
Watching live today more like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I mean granted that's every week but still x3
"Counterspell: preventing recurring villains from recurring since 2015" @KathyGaele Has Mercer said anything about how far they are from a conclusion? Vox Machina has to be pushing level 20 by now.
D8 (i hope he means conclusion of the current arc. the show's at the height of its popularity, they cant end it! I haven't gotten to see a live episode yet!)
I do recall him saying that if VM's story ends they'll just roll new characters and keep going. And there would probably be MUCH more fanfare if it was Very Definitely The End. Probably just trying to wrap up the current arc before holidays happen? (I'm trying to reassure myself just as much okay)
gdi Matt. I could see them someday doing a brief hiatus and rolling new characters in the world when they feel their characters have come to a satisfactory conclusion So here's a question for everyone in the future: Have they ever achieved the mythical five minute break?
