also i doubt i have anything you would need/want since i'm not that far into the game.. the best i have rn is some rare chances and scan pokemon like jangmo-o, chinchou, a togepi and a victreebell.

I'm always here for team building (comp or in-game) if you want someone to bounce ideas off of. 4x weaknesses are often more annoying than fatal, and some of the best pokemon have 4x weaknesses most dragons are 4x to ice because of flying or ground secondary type, water/ground and bug/steel are considered some of the better type combinations around despite 4x weaknesses.

rn i'm trying to decide if i really want to bother having a fire type at all on my team because i'm not really feeling any of them. i might just grab kommo-o and teach it flamethrower eventually just to have the move. that's another 4x weak dragon tho but this time to fairy.

current team i'm thinking about doing would be alola ninetails, milotic, mismagius, lurantis, alola raichu, and kommo-o OR emboar. but i'm not sure if that'd give me decent coverage at all. i'd probably give the kommo-o flamethrower if i went with it and try and get a dark move on somebody... but yeah that'd be a lot of pure types (water, grass, ghost). this is just for story anyway though.

the team i WAS using was primarina, incineroar, decidueye, alola raichu, mudsdale, and kommo-o. probably had a better spread but i just keep getting antsy and wanting to swap my team up to something aesthetically pleasing because i'm shallow at this point, lol.

Not a bad team. You've got two weak to ghost, two weak to bug, two weak to fire, If you go Kommo-o that stacks with lurantis for ice weakness, if you go emboar, you've stack with riachu for ground weakness. It's really your call since you have both ice and ground resists on your team. If it were me, I'd take the ice weakness, because ground is pretty ubiquitous whereas ice is pretty easy to counter.

On this team you're stacking two dark, two ghost, two ground, two water, three ice weaknesses, two grass, two flying... I think that's all of them. So you've got more stacked weaknesses than the above team. It's not a bad team in terms of coverage or resists though. You could make it work. A lot of this also depends on moves you're giving them and such of course...

  7. It seems to have trouble with combined words. Someone on tumblr was unable to nickname their Pokémon "fart", but "assgas" worked just fine. I'm assuming "ass" wouldn't have worked. But then again, in the past, filtering out X letter combinations resulted in Cofagrigus being unavailable on global link trade.

ass isn't usually censored by TV networks, actually. when they bleep "asshole" the beep usually falls on the hole part.

re: pokemon mames though does it allow you to strategically censor yourself

yeah, i thought it would be a bit stricter because of the whole Cofagrius thing :P

aaaaand i rechecked the battle of alola rules, and it turns out you can't have held items! this changes things up a bit (i thought it meant "can't use items on pokemon" which i thought was standard for battle spot anyway but idk)

not having to worry about choice items and life orb will def be interesting lol

CRAP. this means I can't give an icy rock to Ninetales... Damn. I think I'm gonna stack another fire weakness and get Decidueye on my team so I can pivot back into her and reset hail... three fire weaknesses but also three fire resists. this is fine, right??

  16. Maybe get someone with U-Turn or Volt Switch, or Baton Pass, on there so you can swap into Ninetales without wasting a turn.

so I read up on this IV breeding thing and it looks pretty difficult. is anyone having actual luck with it?

Plenty of people do. It's less difficult than it is.... tedious. as with all things pokemon, patience and a love of repetition is key haha

yeeeep :| wrecks my plans for the team i was planning, but at least i have less pokemon to worry about breeding lol. think im gonna stick with silvally, toxapex, and kartana so all I really have to do is breed my toxapex and get silvally up to 100 for bottle caps :U

ETA: wait, no. you have to have a team of 6 but each battle is 3v3. i am a Smart >>
