Spoiler: back to serious cat talk yeahh?? I think either between the first or second book or like. yeah. after the second book like their release order is probably best for future reading order.... tho hhhh now i'm tempted to do like, an ALL THE BOOKS re-reading. like starting with like.. dawn of the clans, moving through the prequel super editions and then through the main series with all the novellas and stuff in chronological order. Dear god that'd be an undertaking. and i should probably wait for a day when all my warriors books are in the same location T: right??? Alderheart for Skyclan!!!! i'm betting violetpaw and twigpaw will join too (duh) and tbh maybe needletail or something?? like. Skyclan needs more cats, I wouldn't be surprised if some shuffling happens maybe tigerheart and dovewing will move in with their kids /shot yeahh... onestar's had some interesting character development through the series'... yeah. i just want things to get better but... we've got four more books... part of me is expecting like, all the clans to at least start falling apart before this gets better. long as hawkwing (lets be honest im bettin you he'll become hawkstar before the end of this series) kills darktail im good. pfff part of me is already like 'man whats the seventh series gonna be about' even tho we've got no guarantee of another series (lets be real though warriors is never gonna stop. im gonna be 90, waiting for warriors book 359 to come out)
btw; would people like a book guide w/ recommended reading order and chronological order? I can make one and add it to the first post if so
OK I REALLY ENJOYED THE CAT DND STUFF y'all we should do cat DnD on the forums holy heck. also what??? dating sim??? ALSO I LOVED THE SNOWKIT FANFIC IT WAS SO GOOD WTF I FORGOT ABOUT IT HO W DID I FORGET
we should totally cat dnd!!!!!!!! i haven't done warriors oc stuff in forever owo we're making a hypothetical warriors dating sim. join us. i say that dovewing should be the girl protagonist because she's got the dumbest love triangle in all of warriors
Ohhhhh my god poor dovewing she suffered HARD. Should I make a cat dnd thread??? I might make a cat dnd thread (where would it go please send help)
My friend and I played our own homemade cat DND. Way before they stuck Cat DND in the books. We played it in our Health Class in jr high because we both hated the class and the teacher was dumb and didn't pay attention. It was great. OH BOY THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD PROCRASTINATION TOOL also I might be up for cat DND :U
Spoiler: eyyyy heck yeah oooh makes sense makes sense!! Honestly every so often I like, go back through the whole series. But it'd be a super cool thing if there was a Reading Order Guide @_@ YESSS GOOD. I kinda wanna see a lot more of that, like, cats shifting around? I kinda wish there were less restrictions on movement, because like. gene pools y'all. And I miss how it was implied to be in the old forest? where if a queen didn't wanna say who the father was, no one would complain?? ohhhhh onestar. I miss you being less of a butt. hrmmm makese sense. it usually like...you can see the shape of the happy ending by book four, and most Current plot threads have been resolved, BUT SOMETHING COMES UP AND THINGS GO TO SHIT. dude the second I saw "hawkwing" and "becomes deputy" I Knew leafstar wasn't gonna make it through the series. which kinda upsets me because she's such a sweetheart???? she seems about bramblestar-ish age, or a bit older, though :/ hrmmm my theory is that it might cover more of the Pre History, back with the first clans? Failing that, I think it's gonna give us more insight into the clans we've been ignoring for a while, maybe riverclan? This feels like a very thunder/shadow/sky series, so maybe the next one will be river/wind/thunder? And I feel like it's gonna center around Sparkpelt! She hasn't been as big a deal at ALL as you'd think for a fckn, DESCENDANT OF FIRESTAR
YO I MADE A (INCOMPLETE CAUSE IM A POSER WHO HASNT ACTUALLY READ ALL THE GUIDEBOOKS AND NOVELLAS WHOOPS) BOOK LIST AND A CHRONOLOGICAL LIST SO IM GONNA ADD THOSE TO THE FIRST POST Note: I strongly recommend against reading the books chronologically if you're new: there are a lot of side stories written that talk about things that are treated as mysteries in the main series, so reading chronologically will probably make you spoiler yourself a lot. I'll have to think a LOT longer before coming up with a recommended reading order; my current recommendation is reading the main series books in order of release. If the third or fourth series aren't to your taste, though, you can skip to Dawn of the Clans (the fifth series) at any time
Spoiler: Warriors: Chronological Book List Warriors: Chronological List Warning: If you have not read warriors before and seek to read it chronologically, you will read spoilers for things treated as mysteries in later books before they happen. A Chronological reading order is not suggested by me for first-time warriors readers: until the time I make an actual recommended reading order, I would recommend just starting with the first published series, sometimes called The Prophecies Begin, whose first book is Into the Wild Dawn of the Clans Begins The Sun Trail Thunder Rising The First Battle The Blazing Star A Forest Divided Path of Stars Moth Flight’s Vision Thunder’s Echo (Not Yet Released) Code of the Clans Cloudstar’s Journey Mapleshade’s Vengeance Goosefeather’s Curse Pinestar’s Choice Tallstar’s Revenge* Crookedstar’s Promise* Bluestar’s Prophecy* The Rise of Scourge** Yellowfang’s Secret* (*these four all overlap and end at approximately the beginning of Into the Wild, they are listed in approximate order of their beginnings) (**The Rise of Scourge begins in the middle of Bluestar’s Prophecy’s timeline and continues until the middle of The Darkest hour) The Prophecies Begin series begins Into The Wild Fire and Ice Forest of Secrets Rising Storm*** Tigerclaw’s Fury*** (*** these two occur at the same time) A Dangerous Path Tigerstar & Sasha Manga Trilogy (starts ~during A Dangerous Path, continues until slightly before Midnight) The Darkest Hour Ravenpaw’s Path Manga Trilogy Firestar’s Quest The New Prophecy Series Begins Midnight Moonrise Dawn The Lost Warrior Manga Trilogy (Starts during Dawn, continues until The Sight) Starlight Twilight Sunset Leafpool’s Wish SkyClan’s Destiny (Exact timeline uncertain, does not intersect with main series at all) The Power of Three begins The Sight Dark River Outcast Skyclan and the Stranger Manga Trilogy (Exact timeline unknown, ends before Eclipse for certain) Eclipse Long Shadows Sunrise Hollyleaf’s Story (lasts from Sunrise to The Forgotten Warrior) Ravenpaw’s Farewell (Exact timeline unknown, ends before The Last Hope) Omen of the Stars Begins The Fourth Apprentice Mistystar’s Omen (occurs concurrently with The Fourth Apprentice and Fading Echoes) Fading Echoes Night Whispers Sign of the Moon The Forgotten Warrior The Last Hope Dovewing’s Silence Bramblestar’s Storm Hawkwing’s Journey (exact timing unknown, starts before The Apprentice’s Quest and ends sometime around the end of Thunder and Shadow (assumed, will update when more books come out) A Vision of Shadow Begins The Apprentices Quest Thunder and Shadow Books that Resist Chronology Secrets of the Clans Battles of the Clans Cats of the Clans The Ultimate Guide Skyclan Chronology I mentioned the SkyClan books in the chronological guide, but as their exact timing is not easily noted, I’ll list them in order here as well Firestar’s Quest Skyclan’s Destiny Skyclan and the Stranger Manga Trilogy Ravenpaw’s Farewell Hawkwing’s Journey
alright, the chronological list is in the first post as well. i'm gonna have to re-read some stuff and ponder a while a recommended reading order, but I might put up a Quality Control section as well where I mention what books are considered to be Bad by most people and why you might avoid them (the main contender to mention being the Tigerstar & Sasha Manga trilogy for being irrelevant, OOC, and having really, really bad art)
... or, in the case of people liveblogging, why you might want to gleefully read them in great detail. :D #marks that trilogy down under "things to look forward to"
No but imagine, he wouldn't need to lead his warriors into battle or anything he'd just go beat up all the other clans himself
