scales scales scales scALES I am a little disappoint that they're so minimal around the jaw-- why have the awkward splotch of color if it's not going to be detailed? Especially noticeable on snappers-- but aaaa the lil eye-ridges!! Also larails are adorable I want twenty

Man I sadly gotta agree, the bit around the face/mouth seems so... un-scale-like. It feels like the dragons were messily eating paint. I like everything else about the gene but the mouths, just. Whyyyyyyy. Might just have to make sure any dragons I slap this gene on have things covering their mouths cuz that really bothers me 8I

i like how the face bit of scales looks when it's a white tert on a black primary color, it makes dragons look spooky besides that however i think the gene looks best on dragons whose tert color is similar/in the same color range as their primary and secondary colors
Yeah, looking at it, I figured that someone was showing off an "I got paint on me" skin initially. I mean, it's cute - it just...doesn't look like scales.
