same. norm should have more nicknames for people than he does, but i gave up on coming up with them a while ago.

i just realized that i've been picturing @Smol Norm the Genie with the voice of matilda from the original broadway soundtrack of matilda

well, not exactly that but pretty close to it, anyway

 

this is... an extremely charitable reading of the situation. reed and cassie were being held by two security people; reed went for her guy's knife and fucked up grabbing it, getting it away from him but cutting her hand, which caused cassie's guard to taze cassie. at this point cassie saved both of their asses by hacking the elevator with her brain and they both made a run for it.

and trapped the security guards in the elevator between floors. good times.

i meant it as a joke about the number scheme, and why there isn't a shitposting rave 1. sorry.

if it was a thread name suggestion, i'd have probably said so and probably done it before the thread was created.

 

for reference: cassie is from the same tabletop game that reed is from, she's a hacker in that game, and there u go into the matrix to do hacker-things, its like virtual reality kinda

 

i don't remember how old cassie is but i'm pretty sure she's older than sixteen. :P

Well, you and the frequent players made something of it. But the joke wrote itself.

 

It probably doesn't help that it's not considered polite to shorten names without permission among the cattes and that it's considered disrespectful to use short names in formal situations/among strangers and if you do it people are liable to think that you're either a jerk or you're banging. (Particularly if the name is one syllable or one syllable and an elided one. There's a joke about names you can get out in one pant, like "Lise"...) He's got out of the habit.

It's less of an issue among the Cereuti (nobody EVER calls Dali "Dalirit" even though that is her name, unless they're being formal).

 

Welp, if Ford can convince Valiska to return, they can have a bonding moment over that.

Although weirdly, Valiska has actually been far less extremely introverted and far less melancholy since she got knocked up. I think she may like being pregnant, although she's not enamoured of throwing up in the morning.

(In the tango, she had to teleport out of bed one morning, because she is a bitty catte and she found herself waking up with Ford on one side, Sev on the other, the head of the bed against the wall and two thylacines sacked out across the foot of the bed.)
