The Christmas event is up! Here's a great guide do all the old parts of the event. If anyone wants to run any Christmas stuff let me know and I'll be happy to take you through it!

 

I would DEFINITELY like to do more holiday content at some point! I did the Christmas Conspiracy already - that was a LOT of fun, even though I had to look up hints for a few puzzles. (The mission report text for it is hilarious for Dragons.) I also did the Mayan remains side mission--

and had a good laugh at Lukas (my main) getting increasingly bored until he just straight up lies down in the dry riverbed and goes to sleep. It was made even funnier by how I'd dressed him in a white coat before I'd left London. :')

Genuine distress at Monty and Arun arguing. Noooo :( Monty, you go apologize right now.

On another note: I spent the evening running around the City of the Sun and got an unexpected shock of hearing the voice of my favorite Inquisitor coming out of one of the Sentinels, and boy was THAT ever a weird moment for me. They really DID get a ton of DA voice actors for this, didn't they? XD

@Mala you ran up and gave me a sock, and I was very confused. I killed krampus and got some coal. I have no idea what's going on x3 It's apparently perpetual halloween in kingsmouth, and now christmas at the same time.

"Morninglight apologist" is a very mean thing to call someone

Off the top of my head they have: Varric, Cassandra, Leliana, Oghren, Arl Eamon, Teagan, M!Hawke and probably a couple other minor characters

Christmas works in mysterious ways.

The canon reason I think is that the fog rolled in around Halloween time and no one's really been out and about to pick all the Halloween stuff up. Of course when Halloween rolls around again things get...interesting in Kingsmouth.

Oh snap, Christmas event!!! I'll even have free time in a couple of days!! I would absolutely love to get in on some holiday cheer+content. The deepest I've ever dug into seasonal content so far was killing a golem during that gold week thing. Running holiday dungeons sounds rad!

Another thing I'd love to try once I get back into this game is roleplaying??? I've never done roleplaying in an MMO context before but I keep specifically joining roleplaying servers so how do I do the thing even?

The Dragon are actually more terrifying in some ways.

 

I had the epiphany that this plays like GW2 in some ways and now I'm having a much easier time of it.

also yes, Orochi seems to have forgotten the "Do you plan to go around opening cans full of Sealed Evil In A Can just so you can poke it?" question in all of their interviews.

 

You can just make an alt. You get 3 character slots!

 

Orochi's entire business model revolves around opening Sealed Evils in Cans. I love all the depth to them that we see in Tokyo.

I feel like I just found fucking Gamzee out in the wild.
Slightly unsettling dialogue aside, my first impression of The Morninglight is....interested? They're probably gonna turn out to be destructive nut-jobs, especially looking at that second mission icon, but I do agree with what he had to say about the Memes.

 

I can't recommend the Dragon enough. One of the coolest factions I've ever encountered in anything.
