My favorite part of that is that Hijack spent pages of dramatic villain speeches tearing him up and still didn't get to him as well as Ed did in said two panels. :::PPP

 

Okay but consider: dramatic hero/villain debate between Isaac and Hijack, then Ed strolls in and just trashes both of them.

Comic updated! And man I am fucking loving this character interaction. They're both so incredibly over the top in ways that are... usually not comparable, but are working when Johnny's not taking himself very seriously. Now Ed's dramatic nihilism is appreciated for once and his theatrics are not just bulldozed over by Johnny's usual manic enthusiasm. And god bless Johnny's habit of treating every little thing like a Major Fucking Event.

I love these kids. Johnny for Activity Club Member when.

 

Also: I gave myself the stupid but difficult task of pinning down my favorite Pnat line, just because there are so many and it's so hard, and with 90% certainty it's "Izz! Isaac just tried to kick down a sliding door to make a dramatic entrance and I am LOVING LIFE right now! Are you okay??"

There are lines that SHOULD be funnier but something about the image it comes with and imagining what Ed's delivery must sound like just makes me collapse every time.

...though, in the alternate category "favorite serious line," it's 100% def
