@Wiwaxia sounds great! I need to reread my character before I decide how I probably know people but I'll get there :D
Okay! So for picking from elements, can we just pick an element & go with it, or are we picking from our associated elements? Moss has a heavy interest in things relating to History - and therefore things like maps (possible connection to Ilmatar since Guardian's Interest?), though Moss' interest in maps is more tangential to their history obsession Moss has an irritating habit of debunking conspiracy theories & other...less scientific ideas, especially ones that aren't properly cited. They think it's funny. They also think conspiracy theories are kind of dumb, and when they aren't pretending that "haha i do it for the lulz", they view conspiracy theories as playing on the minds of the gullible. Especially those really lazy facebook ones that spread like a chain email. attached file is shirt design, except i don't have my color green on the program, so it's the wrong color. pretend it's darker and more green
Ok, that's the first session sorted! Thoughts/feedback/questions? My thoughts: Sorry, @KarrinBlue, I didn't spend as much time with you as I should have. I'll try to make that up next session. I literally just realized that server players can throw around furniture and whatnot to help even the odds against imps. Also I rearranged everyone's character sheets so they're in entry order, so we don't have to keep looking that up. I'm not happy with handling using your environment like Ilmatar was doing through attack rolls. That makes it pretty much strictly worse than attacking normally, which is not what I want. I think I'll have it force saves in the future. I think the roll twice take the lowest thing some underlings have may be a bit much, and not in a fun way. I could reserve it for higher-level things, or have it not apply to attack rolls, or have natural 20s ignore it. Thoughts? I need to work on streamlining Underling set-up. Do people like the markers, or is it better to just number the underlings and remind you which looks like what when you ask or attack? Do people like the everyone-on-their-own-page thing, or should I move everyone's view to where the action is currently happening round-robin style? Related to the above, if we do go with the everyone-on-their-own-page thing, just shoot me a whisper if you want to switch your view. I think I have to do it for you. I need to sort out some climbing-on-things-and-attacking-them rules.
Oh whoops, almost forgot final tallies: Lemi: 800xp (what can I say, getting beat up is a learning experience) 3o Build grist, 10 Mahogany Leon: 280xp 20 Build grist, 12 Amber Moss: 380xp 26 Build, 12 Dust Ilmatar: 340xp 92 Build (!!!), 7 bismuth, 6 phosphorous, 25 rust Myrtha: 100xp 20 Build
Yeah, roll 2 take lower one kinda fucks us over, but it'd be fitting if we try fighting a special (or a glitched) monster. Inhowfar were you unhappy with utilizing environment?
My side of handling it, not yours. I think I'll resolve it by having imps make a save, not by having you roll an attack.
Couple of points of order: 1. Kathy messaged me to let me know that they're dropping from the game because they don't feel up to it rn. My current plan is to keep their land and prototyping and whatnot in the game and have Sera go missing mysteriously. This way, Kathy can rejoin later if they want, and if not I can use that for a plot hook down the road. 2. So this Saturday is the 4th and as a 'Murrican I've got some fireworks with my name on em. The weekend after that, I'll be at a fair without internet on Saturday. I'm pretty loath to miss two sessions in a row, especially so soon after beginning, so would people be willing to have the game at the same time a day earlier on Friday evening (for me, at least) this week? We could also have the game the weekend of the 11th on Sunday evening my time. After that, I think it should be pretty smooth sailing schedule-wise on my end. 3. If people wanna alchemize things before next session, you should PM me combinations or tag me in a post here. If you want to know if you have something or not, ask me and I'll give you chances on a d6 to roll.
1. That's okay by me, except that Leon's going to be without a server player. Is he going to be stuck on his planet (at least until someone finds a means of flying)? 2. Should be fine with me. 3. I assume I can't alchemise with imps all over the place? :P
I think Friday oughta work! So, how do we know how much Grist we spend on one thing? Because I'd like a portable handsfree computer and upgraded weapons/gauntlets.
Well, you can try to get to your second gate on the planet's surface, which will drop you out of Sera's second gate above her house, if you can find out where it is and a way to get there. Or if someone gets enough grist to make an intellibeam laserstation, or gets one via shenanigans, you can do the same sever player swap that Dave did with Jade in canon when John wasn't available. Or you could try to climb up the twisted beams sticking out of the top of your apartment building and see if you can jump across to the gate from there. Or you could try to build up to it the good-ol-fashioned manual labor way. Or, yes, fly. Eh, you can probably sneak in and scamper to your alchemizing equipment without getting embroiled in a brawl. Speaking of which, I assume people don't mind if I deduct the cost of a Punch Designix (4 of your associated grist) from their grist?
Send me the exact combinations and I'll figure out what they do and how much they cost. Then I'll give you the costs at the start of next session and you can determine if you want to make it or not. The things you don't actually make are saved in case you want to make them later. Because I've already figured out what they do, you can make them at any time, including in the middle of a session.
@(Not) Literally A Bird (and everyone else, really) Also, for reference, your First Gate is about 5 stories/15m above the top of your room.
Man, it's been a looong time since I read the first few acts. In any case, I guess I'll work it out sooner or later! I should probably do some exploring first anyway. Okay yes good. I need a better weapon. And yes, go ahead and do the Punch thing.
I'd have to skip on Friday, but Lemi's asleep so she could just be sleeping for a super long time. 0u0
Yeah, I figured. Also, it's not like you don't have a massive exp lead over literally everyone else. :P
