The Thirteen were created as a military unit, and we remain warleaders. Where we still hold positions of power, it is either out of deference to our accomplishments or through tradition. A child of Alchemist is no more beholden to me than an insect is to the sky.

 

I doubt I was anything special to the Alchemist, anyway.

Bianca does look up when Onyx raises her voice, but seems unconcerned. The giant robots she encountered before were fighting with the triangle and its attendant demons. Their presence here is a relief, even if they're not the same robots--for one thing, they're quieter.

She is surprised when more meat appears. She eats a little more, but when she's full, she glances at the little ones. Do they need food? If they were thylacine pups she could chew the food for them, but she doesn't know how these little ones eat, only that they must have been weaned since their mothers are nowhere to be seen.
