Forest Run: Warrior Cats DnD (OOC/Planning)

That said! @ EVERYONE, start date for the First Adventure is going to be this Friday! We'll pause for a bit on Saturday (because I will be UP ABOVE THE WORLD SO HIGH god I hate flying), then continue until the adventure is done for both groups going out!
(also—if we get one more cat, I'm going to split the squad into three groups, 4-3-4.)

We're probably not going to start Bright And Early (I have a test EARLY AF on Friday), but I'm not sure When the best time to start will be, so I'm not going to make any promises on time?
That said, it is a forum RP—once turn order's sorted (and we can do that as SOON as I have a full list of who's who, and I make the list of who's in what patrol), people can reply at their own pace?
(also, do we want to do a turn order thing? I figured it might be helpful as we're at around 5 cats per patrol right now!)

 

i think turn order would be really handy, just so that we know when we're supposed to respond to the thread

 

I'm not sure how long we're doing this for but if it goes through after break I'm not sure how much I can do it due to classes

 

Yeah, as much as I want to do this (I really do!) I don't think I have the time to make a commitment to this :(

 

if we do turn order i would like not to be first, i have Never Done forum rp before and the last time i did something resembling rp (besides shitposting in the manure thread) was improv at summer camp like 5 years ago

Thistlepaw (warrior name is Thistlepool) can handle herself in a fight and has a knack for memorizing information, especially about other animals. She'd like to say she uses her knowledge to stratigize in battle, but she tends to act more on instinct than thought when facing anything bigger than a large rabbit. As much as she'd like to be a clan leader someday, she knows it's unlikely due to her lackluster social skills and tendency to come off as abrasive or uptight. Still, she is fiercely loyal to those close to her.

Turn-based play sounds like a good idea to keep it from becoming chaos, yeah

@Technicality There are several different, er...campaign/stories in the different books, and the plan was to do pretty much all of them—not all at once, and the idea would be we switch up who's in what group as we go through the options!
The plan is to be sorta casual (at least, as casual as you can get with a Spreadsheet and awesome "Guide To Catting"), hence the nix on roll20, but basically, you're not obligated to play in every single campaign!

And they're pretty short, so it's unlikely they'd go, uh...more than a week, tops? Probably even less.

 

@raybot Dude yeah don't worry, you don't have to go first if you don't want to!

And turn-order it is—that's actually a huge relief for me honestly @_@ I won't have to worry about where is appropriate to drop in more narration ;D

 

I should probably also mention I haven't really done forum rps, but I have been playing a lot of dnd and pathfinder lately so I have some rp experience.

 

@Spectacularsalmon Awesome! I'd defs recommend reading some of the guide/rule/info stuff though, it's...okay I DID title the thread DnD but it's hecka different (and a bit more straightforward! less tricky stuff to keep track of all the time ^ ^)

im thinking in a word doc that we can link to in the first post along with the other outside reference links? so we dont have to worry about quoting possibly out of date stuff
