Well, probably not much more than she's done with Oneira or Paz. Probably less, even. She was only twelve. And Mermando himself was only twelve, although the stache was kind of suspicious, especially since he got married later that summer. Mabel has seen a few things and is no longer sure she believes that. Mermando is kind of a dumb name for a merman, too, especially one who speaks Spanish. Maybe she was a little more gullible than she thought she was back then.
