350b, finally... I gave up at 344 last night because it did NOT want to let me kill trees. But progress is happen again.

KHUX raid boss weekends are really good for my Gaia moneyflow since I can actually hit grinding zen when I have KHUX on my phone and kindred on my computer. Already made like 25b today and I'm only on the level 3 boss.

 

So, lanzer is back in an admin position. Yay?

Why has it only been recolored in that weird brown and teal color scheme... The legs are also pretty cute even if they're not super my style, and the sash is adorable. But really, I just want the hair. so I bought it

Imagine that hair in like, one of the gradient-and-black schemes like stagony or sinful, though, with the undercut being black. Or the blue-and-white starlight scheme. Gah.

Why is this the only thing in this color scheme? Holy shit this is the first time ever that I've actually liked the cobalt blue paired with anything other than cream. (I hate it by itself, it looks too grey.)

I am actually not thrilled with the new administration.

1) GC prices may have been too low, but a lot more people were buying GC. The site really does need money. Trying to go back to the old days, where I gather only a very few people paid a lot more money (especially considering real world economic problems) for a lot less is unsustainable, if the old days had worked out so well things would still be that way. Increasing GC prices this dramatically is going to slam hard on the amount of money coming into the site and NOT ABSOLUTELY NOT stop inflation. As a vendor if I am selling something that cost me 999 GC you can bet your sweet ass i'm not selling for less than 500B if it cost me ten actual dollars.

2) new NPCs do not impress me. like srsly hows that going to fix things.

3) yes by all means sell rigs at 80% off in the CS because that's totally not going to fuck over people who get their stuff through lake kindred and vendors are totally going to pay you GC for shit they can't move for more than 500M.

But I am glad that necklace is being sold for $30 in a real store instead of whatever 6000GC is worth on a given day as a ticket that you have to wait for them to take out of your invo before you can give them shipping/billing info.

 

yeah I don't think they're taking the right tactic with the GC price thing - reducing the sales a LITTLE would have been fine but there's basically no sale at all now. I disagree about the rigs, though, from what I know most of the ones they've been selling haven't been offered in Kindred? like if there's a way to get the jolly roger chest in kindred tell me right the fuck now I'm questing an Eternally Unlisted from it.

I'm mostly glad about the administration changeover because it feels like there's something actually happening in the coding/behind the scenes of the site, now, instead of just pushing out more of the same (a forum event or money sink event plus a kindred area for EVERY HOLIDAY EVENT and then never updating the site itself). I'm not wild about the favorite avatars thing but it's at least soemthing new - that doesn't rely on GC to do.

Agreed that the selling of real world items through tickets was a STUPID AS HELL thing in the first place, though.
