    [His optics briefly go blank]
The closest parallel in organic terms seems to be a mixture of racist and casteist with theocratic undertones.
    We are familiar, yes.
Sadly they do. They should not, but there is no shame in taking advantage of the resources one is given.

Deirdre of the Lantern The living are not my purview [18+]

... You know, the longer I talk with you, the more I'm getting the feeling that at least some of our differences and points of contention are semantics.
Immortality, as defined in my native universe, is the inability to die. Be it by reconstruction and ressurection, or by the fact that whatever they do to your body and soul, it will continue living - or unliving, for that matter - and unable to pass on.
The first question would be, who gets chosen for immortality, and how? How can you guarantee the person in question will not abuse it, or grow to commit atrocities due to the mental strain of eternity?
If this immortality can be taken away, it would be more akin to [everlife], but it would still beg the question of how to deal with those whose death is awaited by those who have suffered under them, as only death can guarantee their safety? -- I've seen it happen, family disputes usually.
How would new ideas be brought forth, if the old is so entrenched in the system?
What of those who grow tired of life?

    -She frowns.-

Yeah, there's some old stuff around that, I think, and not JUST from the Cybertronians. But we- we do a good job, right?

[For a fraction of a second, her ears lay flat back.] They do. It is unfortunate and I dearly hope the change comes soon, but they do, nearly everywhere but Eukaris.

The question is not whether you care the question is rather whether others care.

Oh, it's old alright. And entirely Cybertronian, if we count pre-Exodus cultures as Cybertronian. [She still sounds a bit annoyed.]

I mean. All our people who'd been on Cybertron died at the latest a few thousand years after the Big Crash. But that's still time to pass on some nasty ideas...

I've got to be honest with you, though, Onyx. Devisiun has more of a problem with outliers than beastformers. I'm just not discounting there's some level of general uneasiness with beastformers.

Quite. If Micronus were active in that time I daresay he would've attempted to curb such tendencies, but he was rather preoccupied with our brother.

Oh, of course, each society has its own imbalances. I'm just an old nag with a few old grudges, is all, don't mind me.

I don't think it's unreasonable. I mean. It shouldn't happen at all, even if it does. That's why I want to make sure we do better with our new colony.
