Ford blinks. That's a lot of questions all at once, and he suddenly feels a tiny bit of sympathy for his high school science teachers. But not very much.

"First of all, this whole thing is about restoring people's choices, not taking them away. So if somebody wanted to die, we'd have to let them. Fixing people's DNA so that it doesn't disintegrate won't keep them alive if they, for instance, blow their head off with a blaster. And nobody has to take the elixir vitae unless they want to. The decision would be have to be left up to the individual. I don't think anyone has the right to deny people the right to live or the right to die except in self-defence or the defence of the innocent; I've killed people because I had to, but that doesn't mean I don't bitterly regret that it was necessary."

He takes a deep breath. "I don't think 'the mental strain of eternity' is necessarily a transmultiversal problem. You can't guarantee people are going to be decent no matter how much life they have to live. Family disputes like that, they only happen if the head of the family has an inordinate amount of power over the rest of the family that nobody ought to have over anyone, and...people only stop having new ideas because they think they should, or because their brains age and stop working properly. I don't understand how 'tired of life' is different from depression, which is treatable, but...people have the right to end their own lives if they want to, I guess, just not to make anyone else do it for them."

Well. If anyone tries to mess with you, they'll have to deal with your caer, and she could get King Starscream himself in order!

Oh, well, she'd be slightly more reverent, given what she named your brother, but she'd meet with him and he'd walk away thinking it was HIS idea to look out for you.

-She sticks her tongue out at her nephew.-

    -shrugs his front legs-
I've never had four so who knows!!!

Root!!! Or I think of it that way, at least!!! I was in it most of the time with the 'Cons, but the ship was full of Autobots and colonists, so I didn't want to be a spider in front of them...

I'm sorry you didn't feel comfortable. I like your root mode, if it helps. It's pretty!

Okay, definitely not the Amethyst he knows. "Hmm. Apparently there are two of you. I don't know why I'm surprised, there are plenty of Pearls. You're not with Homeworld, are you?"

I think it's awesome that you and Valiska and Sev wanna become immortal. It means I won't be all alone in about seventy years, you know, if it works...

Ford smiles; it's kind of bittersweet. "Lise's expected lifespan is closer to 150 than 70, and...nobody knows how long Humans 2.0 get. I don't want you to be alone, but if I do pass, be gentle with those two for a while. I don't think they'll handle it well, but one of the reasons I gave them a push after we almost got done in by the Homeworld Gems was I know that they'll handle it better together." He sighs. "She hid it well, but she almost buckled on me when she learned about that."
