Still annoyed that none of the Russian characters have canon patronymics. I'm gonna have to make some up myself at this rate, so I can call them their full names properly. Who wants to share the responsibility of essentially creating named OCs of a bunch of characters' dads so Viktor, Yuri and Mila can have middle names?

(aaaaand while I was researching about that, I found out that the victory theme is even more baked-into Viktor's name than we thought. The name Nikiforov is a Slavic form of the Greek name Nikephoros, meaning "carrying victory." It's also an epithet of the goddess Athena.)

On a completely different note, I literally just noticed today that we didn't meet a single pro figure skater from the USA. Guys... does my country suck at figure skating?
