anyvways, that's vwhere i come in. i vwin back the dame, get him a fewv newv quadrants as vwell, and most importantly get myself laid in the process, and evweryones in fat city

Perhaps not. There are a lot of doubles here, branching paths. Perhaps his path diverts sooner, and he leads a different life. Perhaps he is the same you, and he does forget. The other me here is very nearly the one who would become me, but she slipped away to another world, unlike others who begin and end different. Perhaps the little one is the same to you. I wouldn't know unless I looked, and I won't for free.

But I don't remember any of these conversations when I'm back in the real world, even the ones I have as this me right here. *slaps his chest to emphasize what he means* I remember them in here, but not in there. And the kid, well... I was him fifty thousand years ago and my memory's not perfect, not even in here, so I could easily have had them and forgotten them.

Really? I don't. If I did, I'd have been able to life hack my way through a lot of stuff. I'd have known much more about Sunshine before I met him, I'd have known that Valiska and Ford and Sev were gonna get together before they did in the real world, I'd have known what was up with Sans before we found him at the bar...

 

...unfortunately...they are fuzzy dreams...

 

Valiska laughs softly... "You may be the only person other than us who didn't know. I think we were all telling ourselves we couldn't do it until Ford put my hand in Sev's and essentially gave us his blessing because I had a complete freakout over your little adventure in Homeworld Gem Hell wherein you were all essentially saved from certain death by a very determined little thylacine. And I realised I couldn't be with Sev if they weren't together also, because I knew Ford wanted him and I wasn't going to be rubbing it in his face that I could have something he wanted but couldn't have. And I had no idea how into Ford Sev actually was, which made me really nervous for a little while. Until I actually saw them together."

She fans herself, reflexively almost.

 

Oh yeah. Right. Dreams do tend to be that way. Which really makes me wonder how Valiska thinks that younger me is getting anything from this in the real world.

*laughs* If I knew there, well... it wouldn't have been Qihanna I was jealous of. And maybe, if I'd known, I could've accepted it more easily. I dunno. But yeah, stuff like that proves that little me could be this me and that nothing in here has to matter to his timeline.
