Who told you to stop entirely?
We've mostly been telling you to consider your company before opening your mouth, or deal with the responses you might not like.
Something most people learn by the time of their first slave post- excuse me employment.

Dude I'd expect you to be told constantly? You're like... confidence-crushingly beautiful. Makes a mech feel downright rusty when you're 'round.

Well, I won't say that Flux and Lacuna are negligent, because they are frankly wonderful and too good to me. But sometimes I prefer to hear "you're gorgeous" instead of "you smug painted diplomat" which means the same thing but isn't anywhere near as nice.

...where does "you're hot as the smelter and I wouldn't mind if you wanted to step on me instead of the dinobot for a change" fall on that scale

No, they're quite afraid of Flux, so I do most of my work in the hab. I'll keep the offer in mind though; sometimes we're tripping over each other if he brings in work from his office, and it's a mess. Absolutely ridiculous.

If he's making it easy, why are you complaining? Sounds like- huh- stopping the apocalypse is actually more difficult than just killing the guy in charge... who happens to be a primal entity of fear too strong for even the Oldest Primals to kill.

Possibly on the other side of "you're gorgeous" with a standard disclaimer that you probably can't afford my rates. I'm willing to negotiate nonsexual stepping if you'd like, though of course I'd be running it by my conjunx first.

Am I correct in assuming simply imprisoning said primal entity is no longer an option? We stuck ours in a black hole and that worked for a good long while even by our standards.

The Oldest Primals were weak bitches; being old doesn't always make you strong, suckhead. If they hadn't decided "stick it in the ground forever" was the Way to Go one of the later beings- probably a God or something would have destroyed him before the world got big enough to turn him into the problem he is now.

Not anymore it ain't. That's what the Oldest Primals did first round. They bound him in a prison that cut him off from his power source. But because they were the first and had no idea what they were doing the containment started leaking, until he got our girl to open it for him. Now he's feeding on the fear of an entire planet's population and its gods- or at least the ones who aren't too self-absorbed to notice the place is going even more to shit.

[Venture does not squawk at the Rude Bird, because Eclipse would yell if he started yet another fight with her. He does, however, turn his back on Eyefeather and flare his wings into a barrier between her and Nichrome.]

Fair enough. My siblings and I are/were destined to lose the fight once ours escapes/d, so planning for a true killing is...

...not something I've prioritized, shall we say. I wish you all the luck with yours, at any rate.

Ford sighs. "I hope it was pleasant for you at least some of the time," he says, glancing down at his feet. "It's terrible of people to judge you for that." He looks up. "And you are beautiful. Even if you are also sometimes smug, in a manner that I am not sure I would call 'diplomatic'."

Have you ever even met any of the sorry excuses Cybertron calls "Diplomats"? They're pretty much all way more smug than they have any ustification being.
