A little specificity might help, then - especially as it seems trolls don't age exactly as humans do. Who's to say their mental development is at the same pace? (I'd be interested in any literature you can provide on it.) It might be better to say they're in the same stage of development as human teenagers - age comparisons mean little when applied to different species.
