ps, when she says she's here for 'personal reasons', what she means is that she and her also criminal matesprit have been working on a thing to hopefully get them from one place to another without them....walking there. basically, they're trying to achieve transportation. of course, Aricia didn't exactly intend to end up in the shitpost rave, but when you're fleeing from the authorities, you take what you can get.

i've got a bit of a rping dilemma now, and it's that vulcan is from around the period of time just before dualscar kicked the bucket, but i'm working off of the assumption that even technology that humans would consider recent has been around in alternia for a long-ass time, bc even the alternia the ancestors lived in should have been pretty darn futuristic. and, since alternian cinema has been around so long that everything has ridiculously long names, the same would follow for video games and husktops

hmmmmm. yeah, I think we're gonna run into that issue as well with Sloane, since I was also going off a similar assumption for Beforus....the only reason I went with "volume 30" is because I decided Game Grub is a relatively new magazine on her planet. because her planet has been around for about 4600 sweeps. and I didn't want to have to try and think about that many issues of a magazine. which might also fuck with their comparison of timelines. don't ask me how Game Grub was still an untaken magazine name at this point okay I didn't think that far ahead
but anyway. maybe they abbreviate game names and such?

....second spoiler alert: Aricia's Beforus is definitely not the utopia she thinks it is. she's just very, very far removed from any talk of rebellion and any real idea of how culling or such things work. she grew up kinda isolated as hell and pretty much still is.

 

I mean it's not like Fedina would know anything about Beforus politics. :P He's just hostile about everything.
