Paz starts to fade away, but when the sound stops, she remembers where she is. Can she find a way not to hear it?

Cinnamon is upset. Norm is upset. The Mis are upset.

"Shit."

She hates losing her shit like that. If someone wanted to kill her they could just do it. She better ask Sev if this can be fixed.

"Please don't make that noise," she says, very quietly. "I know it's dumb but it scares me."

 

*More forceful pointing.*

He makes bell sounds and the sounds make my friend freak out and stop doing anything!

 

Paz takes a deep breath. "My parents conditioned me. The pixie doesn't know any better. Is it hurt?" She frowns. "I'm glad you defended me, but..."

 

-the mis are at the moment merely confused- Mi? -a mi noofs her-

 

So were killing picksies to make them stop talking? Alright Im down.

*Even his sigh sounds like a lower and softer bell toll.*

*Maybe pointing at his mouth will get the message across with less swatting.*

*and here comes the swatter again*

 

"I don't want you to hurt it, though," says Paz. "That's overkill. I just want it to stop. It didn't know I was going to react like that."

 

*He makes a vaguely threatening grab for the crippled fairy, but there's not a whole lot of effort in it.*

But it didn't stop until I hurt it!

 

"Okay," says Paz. She pets the Mi who noofed her, one arm around Cinnamon, and looks at the English-speaking pixie. "Can you explain to that pixie that that noise is hurting my brain?"

 

No. I don't know bell language. I'm not that kind of pixie. I just don't want a pixie-killing precedent to be set, for obvious reasons.
