Conversely, I used to hate pickles but I've always loved cucumbers and vinegar. I like pickles now, though.
Mayo is excellent, I say! Though I'm invested in both flavour and texture, with flavour being the generally more important of the two. So maybe that has something to do with it? Spoonfuls of mayo are for dares, though. Nooo thank you. Actually, I really love combining flavours in different ways. It's probably most of why I love milkshakes so much! Easy to recombine flavours every which way. Some of my favs (both obvious and not) are: Chocolate/Banana Peppermint/Bubblegum Orange/Marshmallow Strawberry/Fudge Eggnog/Gingerbread Orange/Watermelon/Raspberry Orange/Marshmallow/Cookies & Cream Oreo/Banana/Cinnamon Dang, there's so many more. I'd need my local place's flavour list in front of me to remember the really strange ones, most of them need three flavours and some specific choices. Shoot.
peppermint/bubblegum at first i want to throw that idea and myself off a cliff but i suppose it wouldn't be the worst idea. bubblegums main flavor is kind of a vague sort of sweetness anyway, so its not like peppermint/any kind of fruit but especially orange which is Hell i would like to start an impromptu poll, who here dips their french fries/chips into chocolate milkshakes please raise your hand if you dip anything else into your milkshakes please share, for Science
i dip french fries and nuggets into ranch or ketchup, i tried the milkshake thing once but it was not my thing
They sometimes give out honey packets for chicken nuggets - also good with French fries. But I like ketchup too much to do that anymore.
Im with you, ranch is vile. I once ate a pizza that i thought was alfredo but they had put ranch as the sauce and i almost cried in the dining hall. I do this! Not often though cause i dont really like fries. I sometimes dip the burger as well cause im weird. Vanilla milkshakes absolutely work for this. Strawberry is right out though imo
I will eat all the ranch so you don't have to! XD (I can totally see how it would taste gross, though.)
I used to like ranch but one morning at my great grandparents i accidetally grabbed buttermilk instead of regular milk and poured it in my cereal, now the taste makes me gag. The only buttermilk i like is buttermilk biscuits and buttermilk pancakes.
....wait wait WAIT A FUCKING SECOND DEVILED EGGS HAVE MAYO IN THEM???? .......oh god they do. SCREAMING WHY MUST YOU POISON ONE OF THE FEW THINGS I LIKE ;~; french fries yes, chips no
Tortilla chips and sour cream is delicious, i dont really like other dips as much. Except for artichoke dip and guacamole i suppose. Oh and salsa. I guess i like more dips than i thought, heh
I was pretty sure it was going to be awful at first, too, but it ended up separating out in a really neat way. The bubblegum flavour kinda overwhelmed the mint in the moment, but the mint's aftertaste was much stronger, so it came in at the end more. I dunno. I could also just be strange, but I generally have to model things based on whether or not other people might like them when cooking, because I'll try almost any flavour mixture once.
