-Lacuna and Stentato go-go-go, reaching the sound barrier in a few seconds. The resulting sonic boom is hugely, disproportionately loud, making the air shake.-

 

[Barrage blasts off as well, but gets knocked around by the blast; whatever, it's fine, he's not damaged, just disoriented and falling behind--

Once he manages to right himself, Barrage sets off towards Swiftwing again, his own boom much smaller and not nearly enough to destabilise the twins even if they were behind him.]

 

-The force of the boom is being bent around the devisen jet, propelling them even faster. The boom had been a cheap trick, true, but not just that.-

 

[Between the rocky start and the twins pulling vacuum shenanigans, Barrage is barely even surprised they beat him to Swiftwing, even if only by a fraction of a second. He turns upwards to cut his speed, eventually drifting back towards them.]

I can't even be mad, that must be one pit of a useful ability. Is it all Devisen fliers, or are you two just lucky?

-After they transform back to root, Stentato gets stunned by Barrage's question.-

[Barrage flips back to his own root for politeness' sake, blinking down at the twins.]
