I don't actually remember that movie very well, except a very vivid feeling of vague distress because... no...? And I had dragged my parents and my god parents to see it, because, "it's like harry potter! It'll be great!"

Snarking at movies is definitely a favorite past time.

Oh! Last weekend my friends and I watched Them! a 50s (I think) sci fi about giant killer ANTS.

I don't know if it's so much "bad" as "too artsy for me to understand what in the heck is happening," but Cremaster 3 is an incredibly disorienting and stimulating experience that responds very well to heckling from the sort of audience who enjoys bad movies. The incomprehensibility density is through the roof.

I don't remember the witch designs being particularly distinctive? I mean, that might have been how much we were laughing at it, but also I remember the witches in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters being really neat, so I think we might be talking about different 2013 fantasy action adventure movies based on Hansel and Gretel.

    (no, really: )

I feel compelled to advertise SA3 more, so here is one of its more famous clips, which I found by searching youtube for: "shark attack 3 that line"

oh, and do "movies that you loved in your childhood" count? because i just remembered Lua de Cristal (lit. "Crystal Moon"), a 1990 movie starred by brazil's biggest children's tv show host, telling the story of a sweet, innocent girl who dreams to be a star and is the victim of the scheming of her eeeevl cousins. it's awful. i used to LOVE it as a kid and nowadays i can't hate it no matter how much i try.

    The Room.
    A fuckin cinematic masterpiece.

(I could say Men in Tights, Jupiter Ascending, and every single Riddick [the anime mini-movie changes styles in the middle of a fight scene and never goes back] but I fuckin love The Room)

First of all, how dare you! XD Kidding, but really I wouldn't call anything by Brooks 'bad'. Though man I get more jokes in those movies now that I'm older. (I was 26 before I got the 'beaver' joked in Scrooged.)

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters was amazing. I went to see it with my girl scout troupe of all things. The witches were so cool looking.

Also, me and my friends have watched both "Sharknado" movies and absolutely love them, they're masterpieces.

speaking of vampires in high school: 'the covenant'. sebastian stan hamming it up with some delightfully bad villain dialogue, boys' locker room fight scene, cg eyeball tricks, fog machine overkill, it's great. :D

Confession: I've seen Birdemic several times now. The BFF dressed as "a victim of the Birdemic" for Halloween one year. I screened it at my 20th birthday party. I have a fucking Birdemic problem okay.

I, Frankenstein. It was a pretty terrible movie, but it's the only Frankenstein movie I've ever seen where I can reliably say that the creators both read the book and understood the message it was trying to impart.
