Story time...

I have a friend who is DID (friends who are DID? Plurals are hard), and over the last week I've been realizing that they all have different aura colors. Today I royally freaked out the rationalist one by saying "hi, E!" before she could say anything to me. Being the rational scientist that she is, she immediately asked how I had known that she was fronting, and I got to play the whole "do you want the answer you'll believe or the answer that is true?" line.

I have always thought of myself as a follower of Athena, but being a trickster is fun too. Praise Eris!

 

Been a few days since friend of mine said I was a fili. Still not entirely used to this. It's true I know. That's what I do. I write the poems and I study them. I study the law tracts and the like too. And my goal is to be a druid. So of course I'd have to be a fili. That is just part of the druí job description.

Not really sure what to do with this though. I do want to help. So I suppose I will offer my services here. Namely poems! Magical things is what poems are. They're the vehicles of truth and can even change what truth means. So if someone wants some sort of weird truth poem thing written for them please do ask? I'm more than happy to try and help. Praise and blessing and cursing satire things can be done in particular. As opposed to just vague. Truth. Poem thing.

Alternatively I'm more than happy to try and answer questions people might have about the whole fili thing. I like answering thems.

Well, see, Ness is Wands, Paula is Cups, Jeff is Swords, and Poo is Pentacles. (Let us ignore for the moment that Poo's ultimate weapon is the Sword of Kings, since that's a 1/128 drop that he almost never gets in normal play, and also Jeff's a far better correspondence for Swords anyway.)

OK, since I apparently can't let this go, here's some first-pass guesses:

Magician: Apple Kid
High Priestess: Mr. Everdred. (There aren't enough major female characters for one to fit here, unfortunately.)
Empress: Ness's Mom
Emperor: the phone that apparently represents Ness's dad
Hierophant: Captain Strong
Lovers: ??? I almost want to say the Runaway Five go here, but Lovers is traditionally about partnerships, so I don't know
Chariot: Gerardo and George Montegue (desert mine guys) driving their backhoe
Strength: Bubble Monkey riding Tessie
Hermit: Dr. Andonuts
Wheel of Fortune: the graphic that shows up when you use the Sound Stone
Justice: Buzz Buzz
Hanged Man: fuzzy pickles photographer guy? (because he stops play for a good fifteen seconds to do his thing every time he shows up. Yes, this gets very annoying very quickly.)
Death: Magic Cake lady (because one, she leaves the Stoic Club to sell Magic Cake, and two, the Magic Cake she serves you causes a hallucinogen trip that ends up recruiting you a new party member. This makes only slightly more sense in context.)
Temperance: Something in Ness's Magicant. Maybe the version of Star Master that appears there?
Devil: Mani-Mani Statue (there is an argument for Master Belch, but I like the statue better in this position)
Tower: Devil's Machine (Gigyas' first form, before everything goes to hell)
Star: Brick Road (this is the name of a character. Although to be fair he becomes a location later.)
Moon: Moonside, featuring invisible unibrow-and-gold-tooth guy (presumably represented by a unibrow and gold tooth hovering in midair)
Sun: Saturn Valley
Judgement: Ness's Nightmare
The World: the meteor that fell in Onett (by day)

...If you don't know Earthbound you are probably extremely confused right now. Ah well.
