Uh, @swirlingflight actually is the most correct, guys. It was BBQ chicken that they sold for the fundraiser. Not chocolate or something reasonable like that. BBQ chicken.

I sold specialty deep dish pizzas for choir once. In the deep south. I had never even heard of deep dish pizza (like this was straight up Chicago style) before then and I was 15.

Edit: I did make enough to get to the competition like I wanted but only because I lived in a neighborhood with active military families and some of them missed it. People from here were mostly like "why this".

Choir! They're called choirs. There are also handbell soloists and they are incredible and terrifying.

I still play flute, or do, as soon as I can find my fucking flute from wherever my mom put it. I'm also slowly learning bagpipes.

oh man one lady in our choir (my best friends mom actually) could do the holding four bells at once method and it was so badass. she could practically hold the upper octave of carol of the bells by herself

Oh hey, we had a four-beller too. She was super talented.

I only did bell choir for about a year or so, but it was lots of fun.

Really skilled soloists can actually do six (three in each hand) which is, you know, fuckin terrifying.

I think if one person is grasping six "sausages," three in each hand, the word "soloist" no longer applies.

I actually really liked playing the recorder as a kid xD
When I was in 6th grade band because I didn't want to be in PE, I played, the xylophone for a bit, and then the clarinet. Note, I can't really read music, well I can, but I can't do it on the spot. And I'm not good at keeping time. I just learn how it's supposed to sound wrt length of each note and go from there. XD

I just sight read everything because I was/am a lazy asshole who didn't want to practice. But hey, percussion, so rhythm instead of pitches, less to mess up.

I sing, and I love it, but I can neither read notes nor time signatures....and I never revealed this to anyone I worked with in choir or my private singing lessons. I have never told anyone this fact prior to now, because I can learn a song entirely by listening to it. I can emulate the notes and timing perfectly by listening to a song a few times. so I'd just listen to what other people were singing, or what was being played, and how it was being done, and then I'd do the same thing. and no one ever figured it out.
but, of course, now I'm fucked, because I want to learn music on my own and write music, and I don't know how. I've recorded myself singing a couple of the songs I've written, but. yeah.
and also in the songs I've written, since I have no idea what a time signature is or why it matters or how to judge what the time signature is in a song, I repeatedly switch timing. it works fine for me, but it tends to confuse people listening.
