I nearly sprayed a mouthful of cookie across the table when reading this. something about the word 'hankering', I just. cannot. it makes me think of someone who wants a particularly good sandwich.

Spoiler: Context

This thought came about because a Spanish-English dictionary offered both 'pine' and 'hanker' as synonyms for a word and I lost my shit because 'hanker' does indeed imply something on the level of food craving rather than a yearning.

 

So, piggybacking off the above, it probably IS appropriate for vampire fic.
