Honestly, I consider it more bitching than vagueing, because 90% of the time I'm bitching about general attitudes and culture rather than specific people. I don't need to start fights, you do that just fine on your own. I just eat popcorn and watch. This is a main account, not a sub. I prefer "pissdick".
that is generally the point of vent threads, yes @local troublemaker ur a+ imo keep up the good troublemaking
Do those at least have the clicky thing, or is it so cheap that there's no cap and nothing else keeping the writing end from getting damaged?
And what happens if the clicky bit breaks, can we take it apart to try and fix it or is it just a case of "slam that bad boy down on the desk like it's an epi-pen into an asthmatic's thigh and hope for the best"?
And then it turns out it's the kind of super cheap pen that only has like a microlitre of ink in it, so it doesn't write anyway.
Alright, to take this seriously for a bit. The problem isn't the platform. If you recruit most of your user base from people who spend way too much time on Tumblr and take the shit that goes down there seriously, you're just going to have the same shit.
Ok, this made me chuckle. For the record, you often have a pretty on-the-nose sense of humor and I can appreciate that. Cuttlefish are welcome here. Agreed, assuming I'm understanding you correctly.
There's such a difference in how people interact with other people's threads here and how people interact with, say, personal posts on tumblr despite the fact that they're really not that different at all.
Why is screenshotting a post placed under a readmore and then uploading it elsewhere better than screenshotting a vent thread? Why is a chain of replies about "nuh uh you're wrong" on a personal post different than fighting someone in a vent thread? spoiler: it's because Tumblr People are Bad People so they don't count
Every time I see "this isn't Tumblr, we don't do that here" I roll my eyes so hard I have to stick 'em with a fork to unroll them.
