It's okay, Clover changed the subject and if you can get her to talk about being pregnant she'll do her best to forget, because she was barren for most of her life until Steven fixed her, and now she has kits!!!! coming!!!!

Though it is vastly irritating to Ford that everyone assumes the kits are all Sev's because clearly he didn't manage to do this for 25 years, when actually they are all his because they didn't work their triad shit out until after she was out of season (for one thing, . issues all round, your first date with someone should not be when either they or you literally don't want to do anything except sleep, fuck and eat, even though she was willing to let Sev touch her when she was in season and would normally have hissed and puffed up if any adult male other than Ford got too close to her).

 

....it would probably help if Valiska weren't picturing Angela dating someone whom she had first seen before their eyes opened, or perhaps as a toddler, or something. Catte prides are structured around a head female, her sisters, brothers who have not elected to live in another pride with mates there, her lovers, their lovers and their kits/kitlings. Kits are born with closed eyes and ears and can't regulate their own body temperatures well until at least a few days after birth. Unless it is so hot you have to keep them cool, they need to be in skin contact most of the time for the first few days and want to be on or near you constantly until they learn to crawl and climb (simultaneously--walking upright comes a bit later). Members of the family who currently have small kits, in larger prides, will nurse each other's kits from time to time, cuddle them so mama catte can take a bath or read something or whatever... so your partner's kits are kind of like your own kits. Valiska ironically is handling it better than the average catte would because, while she knows this is how it's supposed to be, and while she wants her kits to grow up this way, her parents were very weird (like cultist weird) and she didn't experience the normal range of extended family.

Granted she did first see Fareeha when she was like...7? Or 8? Angela was 17 at the time but Fareeha was definitely a kid still.

The quick salute is not very helpful. More detailed, I'm going to bed shortly (7:45pm), and going to work until roughly 8:45am tomorrow. So... like 13 hours from now is the soonest I'm likely to be available.

 

I might toss Chell into the robot tea party, but Glados will get her dramatic entrance anyway. Because rave magic, time is wibbly wobbly etc.
(Basically depends on whether i wanna practice figuring out the silent protagonist thing)
