The smell's the same. She has been sleeping on carpet, huddled against the wall. No wonder she was stiff! She jumps up and looks around and then walks over to where others are.

"Is breakfast being served? I'm hungry."

 

Al'rrhissim laughs. "No, I don't think so. It's gossip central and so everyone who wants in on that either moves there or maneuvers so that they have a cousin or good family friend there. Gossip is like a currency there. No need for coinage if you have the inside scoop on which two queens might stop glaring daggers at each other and go full Merialis-and-Errhilissen or have done so last night, or who is courting whom, or who is researching what, or or or."
She shakes her head. "There's a reason I hang out in the ruins or the library half of the time...
