The short backstory is, his old body was in a car wreck and in a coma for a long time (ambiguous as to whether that body is actually still alive). latent psychic ability manifested as astral projection, and eventually manifested as solid psychic body.

He would be fun to play given because he could be transiently aware he's some part of internet message board ("I'm haunting the internet, I guess?"), and is laid back enough/used to forcing himself not to think too hard about things that he would be able to roll with it in a way that would be fun (for me)

Funny observations:
Lucifer means "lightbringer". He encourages free will and rebellion against the system.
Primus is also called "The Lightgiver" in reference to sparks. And while in the current turning Primus is Order and Unicron is Chaos, our cosmology posits that this may be a false assignment as generally it is Primus who breaks away from the perfect binary harmony between him and his brother.
