"Wait, you're 68?" Ford laughs. "I'm 65."

 

"This is Norm," Valiska says, "and he's our friend. Not our acquaintance." She rolls her eyes at Norm.

 

"Chroma!" Ford grins at her. "This is me from another universe! He's three years older than me." He smiles at Ford. "And that's my daughter, the Achromat Nichrome."

 

At that statement he grins back, nodding in approval. "Defying the laws of the natural order? My kind of shtick! Take that, nature!"

 

He was startled by the changing footwear for a moment, then smiled as he immediately took Bill's hand, "Whos name-Do you mean Norm the Genie or the name Severin-?" he asked.

His eyes were a bit wide by all this information as he takes a moment to process it, "Wait-do you mean something happened to Dipper and Mabel's parents in your Ford's home dimension-?" he asked with a look of concern. He's yet to meet his own niece and nephew in his own dimension.

He had a bit of a pout, arms crossed, "Yes, I'm a few years older than you... suppose in my dimension I was born a little earlier. But remember that with age comes wisdom~!"

 

Things Jame needs to stop doing, a list in three parts:

1. Falling off speederbikes
2. Forgetting her helmet
3. Forgetting her helmet, repeated again for extra emphasis

Things Jame continues to keep doing: the above list. Also waking up in this place. She sits up and notes that, unlike in the waking world, nothing appears to be on fire. That fire thing could become a problem later, but for now we must be curious about the people here. I mean, last time there were giant droids and a woman that she pointed a blaster at. Oh and right her limbs she guess. She looks things over briefly, "Everything seems to be in place. Granted, it's a dream."

She thinks briefly about the fire in the real world.

 

I'm Norm. Norm the Genie.

*laughs sheepishly* ... well. I didn't wanna presume, you know... I honestly still have trouble believing that you guys consider me a friend sometimes.

 

Valiska sighs. "We've got people looking for David, but McGucket found Cathy at the bottom of Gobblewonker Lake. Apparently they sneaked in to look for the kids after Homeland Security built the wall around Roadkill County." She glances at @Wilhelm. "Just remember--you weren't the person who did this."

 

"That so? Well, nice to meet ya, Norm! I'm pretty sure you know who I am by now." He lets out a small laugh, leaning back in the chair he'd planted himself in to the point his head was touching the ground, much like a large noodle that had snuck out of a bowl of soup and was draped down the side of the bowl. He glanced over at Valiska, the smile on his face wavering for just a moment. "....My apologies for your loss."

He squeezed the other's hand, smiling up at him from the very uncomfortable-looking position he was splayed out in. "Norm's- I believe I've heard OF Severin, but never got the chance to meet the guy! Someday, maybe?"

Bill raised an eyebrow, the smile turning into a grin. "Hey, at least you're not in the trillions, Stanford! As for wisdom, that's debatable. You'd gain a ton of knowledge by that point in time, but it's one thing to KNOW and another to UNDERSTAND."

 

"Well I'm glad to see some familiar faces around here, even if one of those faces is a slightly younger me... it helps make adjusting easier." He just continues giving Bill's hand a squeeze, "I am curious to see who else may pop up..."

 

You're right about that. *laughs*

*norm notices wilhelm's ridiculous flexibility and thinks that the other ford must be a really lucky guy*

*and then sighs heavily*

*no no no sexy thoughts about Alternate Married Good Guy Bill*

*that train has to stop*

He also laughs, the good mood and laughter in the area overall just contagious- he couldn't help but be drawn in to the positive feeling. "So how're things going with you?" He attempts at conversation.

 

... pretty good. I'm free from my lamp now and I've got two boyfriends and a sorta girlfriend, and just yeah... things are going well and Pennarion's awesome. Yeah. I'm doing much much much better than I was for the last fifty thousand years or so.

 

"Sev's never been to Gaia, but once in a while he does show up here." Valiska smiles. "He's amazing."

 

"That's great to hear! I'd be restless out of my mind if I were stuck anywhere, yeesh... But hey- things are doing better so you just gotta hold on to that and keep moving forward!"

Bill nods, shifting his legs so the one crossed over the other was no longer crossed and vice versa. "Can't wait to meet him! I've gotta say- it's been a blast hanging around here so far! So many interesting people and hardly a dull moment!"

 

"Lord knows you're incredibly restless, I know this from experience... Maybe I should take you along more often on my field excursions?"

 

*manifests here, looks around*

Uh.

Well.

This is different.

*and that's really all he can say at the moment, because he can't quite grasp the memory of where he was before for comparison, it slips through his mind like dry sand through fingers*

*presently is making an expression that reads "I Am New Here", which is somewhat intentional, and he mostly hopes he isn't intruding on anything*

 

*grins* Yep! Weirdmaggedon actually did something good for me there. *laughs* It did a lot of good things for a lot of people, honestly, even though it was also pretty devastating for the multiverse. So, though I wouldn't recommend of a repeat of it, I am glad it happened.

 

"I highly recommend it," Ford says. "Oh, didn't you want to know about the thylacines?"

 

She's not the devil, but Cordelia has a way of appearing when you mention her anyway.

And she's rather perplexed.

There are two of her human!

But one of them doesn't smell exactly right. She sticks close to the one she knows, snuffling softly, and leans into Ford's ear-skritches happily.
