"Who's looking after them?" Valiska looks a bit concerned. Yes, in fact, Valiska would take kits on a honeymoon. Even if they had already opened their eyes and were able to regulate their temperatures, there would be no separating Valiska from her kits until they had not only stopped clinging and started exploring, but were completely weaned.

    Wilhelm GREETINGS FROM S-411! [18+]

"Stan and the kids are, along with Wendy on occasion," He assured, "People I trust." His voice was firm, protective, even- but with all of the constant hectic activity around home among other things, he and Ford REALLY needed a small breather from it all.

  7. Nightshade Randir

    Nightshade Randir Call me Shade.

Shade has summoned a chair and is sitting idly playing with her fingers, stretching each out in turn like taffy and letting them slowly return to normal.

That might actually be fun, honestly. Fighting's simply my birthright and I can only imagine what your kind fights like. Blasters appear to be involved, given the shooting reference and your tech levels.

"Stan?" Valiska giggles. "I think his first words when we found out we were pregnant were something along the lines of 'don't ask me to babysit', but we all know he's going to fall madly in love with the kits when they're born, right?" She sighs. "He's kind of adorable with my sister's kids."

-small pockets of blue flame appear about shade. they puff in and out of existence intermittently. the fox watches for a reaction. it shifts and reeks of god, or at least those touched by gods. we must experiment-

We'll have to make a playdate of it then. Will beskar hold against Alternian rifle bolts as it does lightsabers and blaster fire? Only experience can tell.

    "He really does."

Valiska looks over at the Mandalorian Jame. "Family is by mutual consent among my people, too. But would you really make a kitling sue for divorce? Kitlings don't leave their parents unless they're given reason to, and ... such a one should not have to face those who hurt her."

It sounds a whole lot better than American culture. We've got the Child Protective Services, and they can't do jack shit. Especially if you're dirt poor and live in a slum.

Sparklings can just... leave? [Venture frowns a little, thinking this over; Whisper appears to have vanished, but Ven is still covered with glitter, rather ruining the 'thoughtful' look.] I mean... Yeah it's real easy to see why that would need to be a thing but where do they go if they're too small to take care of themselves?

Mandalorians? Yes. To be able to face those who have harmed you is simply expected. We lack a word for hero in Mando'a, our word for coward is the gravest insult, and some question why we even bother giving duty and responsibility colors. However, this facing can come in a variety of forms. An indirect Dar'buir event would be accepted in certain circumstances. In fact it may even be praised. The insult of being declared Dar'buir by one's children is so grave that not having the message delivered in person can be an even greater loss of honor. The actual procedure is also far less drawn out than it would be in a Jetiise court. A statement is made by the child and sent, in some fashion, to the parent. This statement is then also delivered to the clan's house. While a parent can argue it, unless the child accepts the arguments it is done. They've very little control over the process as it's deemed that one worthy of the title Dar'buir is unworthy of making a case. Occasionally, Dar'buir is also followed by bounties being placed on the parent's head. Some don't even bother with the legal avenues of assassination, and the affair is handled in-clan.
