FINALLY played through all the DLCs, super duper late ;3; you'd never know that I bought the game on launch day, and my enthusiasm and interest never waned in it. Depression and multi-year chronic pain that happens to only happen while sitting are a bitch, rip me. I'd been spoiled for a couple things, but still enjoyed all the DLC thoroughly (though I imagine I have the same issue with The Descent as a lot of people in that it answers like. one question. and then raises a million billion more :U) I liked JoH the best, followed closely by Trespasser. ...now I just need three achievements, all of which are going to be an absolute pain in the ass, fiddly and time-consuming >:C At least I'm hoping I can do two of them on the same (partial) run, I DEFINITELY can't do all three on the same one.
Got the two fiddly achievements, yay :V now all that's left is to start a new run and beat the game on Nightmare, rip me ;3; it's gonna take foreeeever. And I'm probably going to have to delete a lot of the saves in my other runs. Anyone played on Nightmare? Any tips before I get started?
tfw a rage demon drops several lightning essences??????? My Nightmare run's going quite well, though. The early game was rough, but things seem no harder than Hard really now that I'm past Skyhold. Most of this is no doubt due to the existance of the Golden Nug- being able to craft fourth-tier armor, even with first-tier crafting mats like iron and nugskin, was a SERIOUSLY needed boost for the early game, and even the middle where I am now.
I want everyone to know that I'm watching a DA;I Cullen Romance and I haven't laughed so hard for a while. He's such a fucking dork. My inq (city elf, rogue) would eat him alive, for god's sake. He wouldn't last a second.
Fucking hell, I hate my computer so much After fifteen billion years I finally managed to install photoshop again, after doing god knows what that windows simply would not install it, so i could go back to my EM clothes mod. The diffuse is pretty much done, so I need to fiddle with the normal/specular/tint maps, but i just fucking can't preview any goddamn asset on modmaker i need to scream
it's just so goddamn frustrating!! i can't import/export anything, preview assets... none of it! eeeeeverything was fine before half of my computer exploded and I had to install windows 10 and for some reason i just have 4gb of ram now and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa AND I CANT EVEN PLAY THE GAME i just wanted to make this mod so i could endure Literally Half An Hour Of Loading Screens and take some pictures of my elf
ok, I managed to make everything work after... about three attempts at reinstalling all the plugins and stuff. Spoiler this is how the mod looks like at the moment. I am sorely tempted to remove the creepy faces, but the nose bump is in the mesh and I don't know what to put in its place, and I think it's sort of a good amount of metal to have left in the armor (since, as you can see, i turned everyhing else into cloth/leather. what do you guys think?
I gotta let you guys know that tonight I had a dream in which there was a Mabari Hound Origin for DA:O. The Origin itself was super sad: you're the Mabari hound of a family of apostate hedge mages in the wilds (an elderly couple, their adult daughter, and their young son who, unlike the other 3, is not a mage) and after increasingly tense rumors of a Blight your hut gets attacked by darkspawn, the family massacred, and you end up trekking to Ostagar. But when I woke up, I realized that the implications of the dream were MABARI HERO OF FERELDEN. Imagine the entire Dragon age Origins, basically unaltered except the main hero is a dog. IMAGINE ALISTAIR DEFERRING TO THE DOG WARDEN. I'm just. Thank you brain for this gift.
Honestly, is there ANYTHING that would have been more quintessential Ferelden than having their newest national hero be a dog BUT ALSO THE MABARI HOUND OF THE MABARI HOUND PETPET
