I found this weird little porcelain sign at the thrift store and put it on my humidifier.

 

How does your humidifier work and is that the whole thing in the pic, i need to know for reasons?

 

I can't even come up with a description for this sound but it's amazing.

 

What even are bugs

I know perfectly well what they mean but my brain still conjured an image of the camera team camping behind a bush for two weeks and periodically peeking around it to see if it's done being a pupa yet.

When I was little my parents had a fairly useless flashlight that worked via a hand-generator, where you pushed the handle down and a bunch of gears whirred and the light came on for a fraction of a second and you had to constantly pump the handle to keep it on, and the sound it made when you pumped it was basically that.
