The rage screaming was over Eye for an Eye. The Tezcas are on my permanent shit list.

I did W4TCHED last night too but my response was mostly T_T baby. I think I burned out my rage gland murdering the fuck out of gangers. I was just going "It's ok. I got this. You're gonna be ok" the whole mission.

Yeah I knew the rage screaming was for Eye for an Eye, because that was also where the core of my rage screaming was. I cried like a baby when [spoilers] happened, and that was officially the moment my primarily pacifist run had a large blot of MURDER applied.

(Fun fact: EfaE only triggers after W4TCHED is officially started, which means you can theoretically lose both of them in one fell swoop. Poor Marcus.)

Detail which amuses me: Marcus has a "Night of the living dedsec" sticker on his laptop. Which means sitara designed those kinds of stickers. Her graphic designer is showing.

    And another thing!
No but really, Wrench probably has doen the RHPS midnight showing thing, more than once. I mean our shadowcast explained that audience participation was wanted by the phrase: "It´s like sex, if you don´t participate, you can´t come." He´s probably invented new things to yell at the screen.

So, thoughts about Lenni (god I want the DLC now because I wanna see how her mission team up with you affects this):

It wasn't just the money that motivated her to go after Dedsec. There's the obvious multiplayer Prime_Eight missions, but there's also a sidequest where you find out that Prime_Eight is planning on doxxing Dedsec members over the radio and Lenni's voice is the one reading the names off. (The mission success involves making sure the radio broadcast goes out with Prime_Eight member names instead, because Dedsec Is Not Nice.)

I think on her part, a lot of it is a sense of betrayal (and yeah, jealousy, but I think the perception of betrayal is more prominent.) On one hand, taking Blume's money is selling out-- but on the other, she thinks that Dedsec did already. She calls them white hats derisively when they very much aren't and bitches in personal logs about how holier-than-thou she thinks Dedsec is when they should know that they aren't any better than her. She's angry, above all, and it's a righteous anger that comes from someone who's seeing the people they thought would be in the shit with them moving out of it.
I think part of why she's so sympathetic for me is I had a friend who was a lot like her in some ways; they were on the frontlines of the original pushback against dumbthingswhitepplsay and genderbitch and the classical 'SJWs', and for a long time they had their friend group and identity revolved around that. And then one day they woke up, and it seemed like everyone had stopped remembering those old SJWs and started criticizing the people who objected to the movement, and it was a betrayal to them, because their very real experiences and trauma with that were being erased in front of them (or that's about how they saw it.) This friend ended up having a pretty public meltdown and then leaving tumblr entirely because the shift towards SJ and away from opposition to the extremism sat so very wrong with them.

And I think with Lenni a lot of it is that. People who grew up being shitty hacker kids turning around and saying that they're better than the rest of the hackers because they're doing something. And it doesn't matter that Dedsec is doing something; what matters is that they sold out and then condescended to her about the sellout, and that's the ultimate betrayal to her. Someone who should have been on her side saying that she's playing the game wrong.

God, I wanna see her in this DLC so fucking bad.

Wishing Dan had done at least al ittle more talking to people between quests: Rewatching the LP I noticed when Josh asks if Marcus having a gun is going to be a problem. "Problems is why you keep me around." Wondering if Wrench was the designated violent problem solver before Marcus took over some of that?

I still can't believe nobody's made the obvious joke about Dusan's name.

When I spoiled myself and looked up Wrench's face I thought the mark was a... forget the name, wine birthmark? The edges looked similar to the one person I've met with a visible one. But actually playing the mission and seeing the mark up close in glorious HD... I'm like 98% certain it's a burn. The texture's all wrong for a birthmark. Or a bruise. Wrench bby what happened to you?

YEAH my textures were low enough the first time that I thought it was a port wine birthmark, but replaying with them on high... there's way too much texture and ridging and general crispyness to it to be just a skin discoloration. It's a pretty bad fucking burn too, definitely at least a second degree but probably a third. I wonder how well his vision is in that eye?

Holy shit now I need to look at it again to see if his actual eye is discolored because that is a thing that happens with some injuries. Not the usual cataracting always, but darker/redder and sometimes the sclera is permanently discolored. (We had a cat with a messed up eye that looked perma-bloody.)

I don't think it is-- I think both of his eyes are pretty healthy looking, but it's hard to tell. Especially since he's got very pale eyes. The one on the burn side definitely has more of a sagging lid though, and he's heavy-lidded to begin with.

Can't be sure of actual vision problems, but he'd def have some obstruction from the saggy lid. I wouldn't be surprised if he's got some vision correction built into the mask though.

Yeah, if nothing else any issues with distance based vision problems will be fixed by having video in front of his eyes (like I imagine he does) and that can probably correct for some of the weakness on that side.

Also he mentions that the FBI cleaned the inside of his mask and it's irritating his face now when you talk to him after the mission, so how much you wanna bet he's got hypoallergenic wipes around for when he does need to clean out the inside but can't afford to use harsh chemicals that could irritate his scar?

I was wondering if that was a reference to his authority 'allergy,' something the FBI did because they were pissed Dusan interfered, or just because the interior was exposed for so long and wasn't cleaned properly because Wrench wanted it BACK ON HIS FACE RIGHT NOW and the scar is sensitive like you said

Why must you two hurt me like this?
I´d been wondering. Ok nerd stuff: I legitimately wondered why Wrench was hiding his face even after seeing it at first. The scar just didn´t register as all that bad to me.

Also at some point pls kick me to write up dedsec girl genius AU. Like properly and not just rambling like a loon

Mendacity I’m meaner than my demons

I would think it's a ref to them taking it off and probably swabbing it with something. They would have had to take it off to test it for explosives, you know just in case, and so I imagine after being given the mask back he would have just shoved it on with Regret and then quickly wiped it off with whatever anyone had laying around.
