*soft gasp* HE'S SO FANCY :D I saw a hummingbird hawkmoth when I was on holiday in Cyprus last year and it completely made my whole entire day.
Sungazer lizards! I used one of them as a face reference for a dragonborn D&D character - they have such friendly-looking dragon faces!
A whole rainbow of dragons! Spoiler That second-to-last one has got to be photoshopped, but I don't even care. RAINBOWDERG
Spoiler: killjoy I think a couple of others are, too. I definitely saw that fourth one on youtaggedthatsnakewrong on Tumblr. Still very pretty dergs, though.
Aw, I wanted to check that blog out but it looks like it's been deleted :( And yeah lol I'm guessing most wild species don't have that much color variation
They're bush vipers, and when I looked it up I did find something that mentioned that they do have quite a bit of color variation, but reliable online info seems to be limited. (Alas for the demise of youtaggedthatsnakewrong. :::<<< )
the deleted chapter where The Little Prince meets a Space Lizard and gets lessons about how to make love. Spoiler: click REALLY quietly, you don't want to disturb him... lookit omg he noticed you quick don't move at all!!!! ok I think we're good.
every time one of you posts a sea critter to this thread the part of my brain attached to my novel just goes "SEA DRAGONS AREN'T A THING THEY ARE A MYTH AND A BAD IDEA" shush, brain.
Those are called seawolves or wolf-fish, I think! One of my local aquariums has a group of them in a big tank. They mostly just glare at you and wait for their next meal XD (1000% more scary than land wolves, imho)
idk the english name but they chill out over here! very lazy but can fuck u up if provoked also HOLY SHIT GOOD THREAD
They are indeed seawolves/wolf fish in English, though I wouldn't want to take a guess at exact species.
