I am a Transformer-- a metal person who turns into something that looks rather less like a person, though my current alternate mode is still a secret! [He winks.] I am large (normally) because most of my iterations are the oldest non-deity of our given universe, and Primus started big so he could get used to making all the fiddly bits. I'm not from a Maelstrom, though I've repaired a few and entered one, and I have never been a wolf!

Well that is the question, isn't it? The answer changes from place to place! But, hm, let's see now-- in most of the Primax cluster, deities are the two (or one, or three, or however you want to split them up) oldest beings in any given universal stream, usually tied both to the creation or rebirth of the stream itself and the first sparks of life on our central planet, Cybertron.

So! Within the part of the multiverse I come from, every universe-- or at least every universe we're important in, which isn't the same-- starts off with a big old energyform. That energyform either turns into or is Primus, and he goes around making planets and starting life and starring trouble and all that Chaotic Good slag.

Most universes he's in, Primus has a brother, a boyfriend, a counterpart, it changes depending on exact universe-- a special someone let's say-- named Unicron, who goes around ending things and keeping war and death and all that in order. Makes things too, sometimes.

So! It comes down to, in our part of the multiverse, a deity is someone who makes things without having a maker themself!
