I've never heard Pat say 'Jamethiel' but the instinctive English pronunciation has a short 'a' and stress on the second syllable; I don't think that's right. She wouldn't be Jame or Jamie as a nickname if the longer name didn't have the same sound. So JAYM-eth-eeyell? Though one wonders if the terminal '-el' has a secondary stress, being IIRC 'of God'.
I'm not really put off by the idea of Jamie and Jame being short forms of Jamethiel with a short 'a' sound, honestly. Because nicknames are often weird and stupid things.

i pronounced it like the terminal e was from jameth. so like jaym-eh where as jamie would be jaym-ee. so jamethiel would be jaym-eh-thee-ehl but then part of that is cause it felt weird to me to have tori be tor-ee and jame to be jaym without a second part to it so tori and jame is tor-ee and jaym-eh to me
