i just saw this in the out of context quotes thread and i just realized, without the transformers context, in which cars are people, it sounds much much much weirder
i am not surprised. though "@applechime is talking about transformers" was an easy intuitive leap for me, it was dependent on quite a bit of information about pop culture and this site and @applechime. @applechime used the acronym tf (which could stand for anything starting with f and involving a prominent f) for transformers, not the series name, and i only knew that was what she meant 'cause of what i know about the context around @applechime, kintsugi and transformers. (namely, that transformers became a popular fandom on kintsugi 'cause of caa, @applechime then became one of the biggest transformers fans on the site, and that transformers is about robots that transform into things.)
Oh, I realized it was about Transformers, just for some reason my brain's first instinct was to parse it as an interest in nonsentient cars.
Do nonsentient cars count as sex toys or robo-beastiality? (Complicating factors: robo animals do exist, as do actual regular robot transportation. So would it just be a normal objectiphilia kink?)
( Boy what did I walk into. ) I once got so irritated by the lack of ship A in my fandom, as ship B had the spotlight, I temporarily installed the Ponify app so I could change one of the character's names so that ship B would become ship A. It went... rather well, as the character's name I was changing was a common verb.
Like a real doll for robots? Conversely, the robots on earth are surrounded by endless seas of nonsentient objects that look much like them. Like a whole planet wax museum. D:
