also before this episode I spite-unshipped taakitz because the fandom gets way too hyped up about it but it kind of seems like justin and griffin both ship it more than I'd previously realized? so now I do too

 

Hypothesis Re: the Relics-

The Chalice mentioned remembering being something larger, before becoming what she is.

Maybe the Relics were created, not to destroy, but to seal away and apart the power of something even worse. And by destroying the relics, the BoB is releasing those powers, bringing about exactly the thing it is trying to prevent.

... Thinking about it, I'm sure someone else has already come up with something like this. Eh, never said I was original. It's just pretty much what I've been low-key worried about since the beginning.

I definitely think that might be the case! I was thinking about Maureen's prophecy, where her memory case talks about the seven birds flying tirelessly in front of the hunger. Though, I do have to wonder if the BoB is actually destroying the relics- because we've never actually seen total proof of it, and I can't quuuuite think of what else would be in the directors safe??

Also, what the hell is up with Griffins love of "Lu" names?? Lucretia. Lucas. Lup. Probably some more I am forgetting. That and how he has two characters with K-Z names. ridiculous??

i've been thinking that Lucretia and Lup might be the same person. She could be doing the same body clone thing as Barry, except she didn't leave herself a note so she just remembered that the relics were super important for something and went from there. I'm sure this has already been theorized before, but the bit where Barry mentioned Lup vilifying him in the last ep made it seem more likely to me.

I'm holding on to the theory that 'Lup' is a nickname for Chalupa, a long-lost Taako sibling. Or Lucretia. I was originally thinking Lup was Lucretia but then I heard the Chalupa thing and it's too good to let go.

oh hang on, there was that thing with taako's heart swelling when he heard the voice (which I'm assuming was probably lup's)? it was totally definitely his sibling YES. Also "chalupa" would just be such a Griffin thing to do

I do love that Kravitz, who used Merle's (already wobbly) faith in Pan against him in the Crystal Kingdom arc and set Merle on his tailspin of "Pan LIED to me!", is now in the same boat as Merle: unable to reach his god.

Hey so if anyone wants the TAZ bonus episode and can't afford to donate I have it and would be willing to share, assuming I can figure out how. Though it would be cool if you could at least drop a couple bucks as a one-time donation maybe? but if you can't that's fine. It's just an awesome ep and I really don't want anyone to be left out for reason of no money.
