my house is painted this pale buttery yellow on the inside- at first I thought it was going to be awful, but it makes the house feel really warm and welcoming. (it clashes SO BAD with our one granite countertop, tho. we need to replace it with a pale wood D:)
Oh! I actually did that with the rooms in my grandma-in-law's basement! They have teeny tiny windows and were kind of dark and dungeon-y with that nasty ass faux wood paneling, and we took that down, painted and redid the trim. You gotta be careful with yellow though. Whatever you see on the swatch will look at least three time more saturated once it's up on a whole wall, so paler is better.
Is the purpose of that kitchen to feel like you're living in a black and white movie? Because I feel like that's taking a theme too far. Edit: also the fucking Bama clock or whatever that is, I just noticed it and died. I bet the photographer moved that into the kitchen so people could see they didn't just make the photo grayscale, because that's what I thought until I saw it.
I'm actually gonna go with "one of those crappy coloursplash app filters" rather than it actually looking like that. Look at the red checkering on that plate, how it is b&w on the right hand side. Weird choice tho because nothing really succeeds in "popping" It does make me think a cartoon/Telltale imitation painted room would be super neat (the cabinets here are sorta doing it accidentally)
Psssh, why would you ever want to CLEAN the Poop Bog? That would totally defeat the point, god. :::PPP
