Again, that sort isn't always the most reasonable. You certainly are a resource; everyone is. But I am rather in favor of stealing oneself, especially in unfavorable situations. [His fangs aren't near so impressive as @Thunderwing's, but they sure do show in that grin.]

I'm still an adult, though! I have to make adult decisions and live with them like everyone else!

Sometimes that happens. I'm not here to say how you're 'allowed' to feel. But if she's threatened you just for leaving, I can't say I think very kindly of her. Perhaps I'm just a bitter old 'Con?
