Watched bits of WD1, so far Jordi is the best thing about that game.

So now I know why Rax said that when wrench did the blackout to get into the chinese server. He hacked a blackout once, and Defalt guilts him with the people who died.

 

Playing again now that my stupid mouse issue is burning me out on Subnautica. Here's today's adventure:

Me: -casually steals taco truck, crashes it into an apartment building so I can PARKOUR! up and get a thing-

Later, still me: -crashes a stolen ambulance into the side of a hospital so I can PARKOUR! up and get a thing-

... Am I a bad person?

 

Marcus: -remote controlling someone else's RC car thing- Haha! Someone here likes toys.
Wrench: Josh toys or... Sitara toys?
Marcus: The kind that needs batteries. The kind I can access remotely.
Wrench: Now you're just fucking with me.

 

I also steal things like ambulances for maximum PARKOUR ability, so you're not alone there. :P

 

I feel like now there needs to be a josh and sitara toy.

 

The DLC drops in a little over ten days for me and I am vibrating with excitement. I can't wait to play through it myself.

Also, me leaving the game store above the hackerspace: .... Is that the airship music from FF7? -sits there for a whole minute trying to wrack my shitty brain- Now I need to go dig up the actual Highwind track for comparison or it'll keep me up at night.

 

MAN, I'm replaying and popping back to the Hackerspace after every step of the main missions-- you get different dialogues depending on where you are in them (notably, Wrench changes his attitude wildly between the two phases of the Robot Wars mission) and I am so mad Horatio doesn't get more screen time. The dude is a fucking delight, and I feel like he and Marcus deserved a lot more scenes with them dicking around.

I have loved from the start how casually inclusive WD2 is. I just loaded the game, popped into a car... and the first thing I heard on the radio was a the lady DJ saying "and this next song is for my girl"

I love waking up to acknowledgement that I exist.

 

Also last week I was speeding through the streets and hilariously watched a cop car do an obvious turn onto another street to get out of my way instead of establishing heat and setting the law on my ass. I had to pause I was laughing so hard.
